I can't write another tweet for the next god-knows-how-many hours and just had to delete about 150 SPAM tweets manually.
You're probably wondering what happened.
I was working to set up a new German blog and tried importing entries from my old blog. What I didn't realize was that the WordPress Tweeter was not only installed and running but also had my new login and password. So, it tweeted every single post that was imported, resulting in an almighty stream of useless SPAM tweets.
I only noticed when rdyfrde asked what the hell this was supposed to be and of course, I nearly died of shock and scrambled to rectify this.
But this also explained why importing stopped after about 150 entries. I had simply reached my daily limit of Twitter status updates and apparently, if tweeting the stuff doesn't work, the WordPress importer simply stops.
What a mess ._.
However, this also led tome discovering WordPress Suicide, a neat little plugin to wipe all your entries, comments and categorizes, leaving an empty but working WordPress installation.

At least LJ seems to be back.

According to Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta, both Rick and Hikaru can run the upcoming new version without a problem. Well, after Vista, I doubt they could come with a OS that has even higher systemr equirements *lol*

I just decided to un-follow anyone whose updates just consist of name lists, no matter how nice they are otherwise.
Sorry, but I just don't want my timeline to get clogged with meaningless messages like that.
To me, Twitter is a tool for communication and fun and I don't want to have it misused as a virtual pissing contest "Tee hee, I gots more followarz than u, suckas" kinda thing.

Where the hell have I been?
Well.
Some time on Thursday evening, while yamasagi and me were out grocery shopping. our internet collapsed.
As you might have gathered, the damn thing didn't come back until just now.
Apparently, the Telekom people just don't care about your problem if it's not Monday.
No idea how many times we called them and just got a "We're working on it" back. Geez.
However, when I came back from the dentist an hour ago, the router's LEDs flashed "online" as if nothing had happened.
And now that teh net is back, I don't even know where to start catching up.
HALP.

The line (50 Mbit down, 10 Mbit up) has been running smoothlessly since about 1 PM!
My laptop's WLAN is still reacting a bit strangely, but anyway. Whee, fast even faster insanely fast internet ;)
The noise margin has increased to 15 dB. Holy shit O.o
No, you don't have to exactly know what that means, but anything below 12 dB is bad. With our old 16 Mbit line, the noise margin was about 5 or 6 dB, and that's probably where all the CRC download errors came from.
From now on, we can also watch TV - and even HDTV - via the net.
