I really hope this will be the last hot week of the year.
Just now, I almost forgot to put on some pants before answering the door XDDD
Incidentally, that's exactly what the postman just brought me. A pair of pants *rofl*
These, to be exact. They rock.
I mean, it's really difficult to get black Jeans at all, let alone ones that have my size! And now, I suddenly have two pairs. This is the cooler one, though, mainly because of the lacing thing in the front. And the price? Awesome. I had to wait a few weeks to win a pair, but since they kept putting up more and more each week, I eventually got 'em. I guess at some point, there was no one left interested in them apart from me.
That was probably what happened with those. I really, REALLY wanted a pair, but they all ended at somewhat high prices. So I decided to be patient and after about a month or so, I finally won an auction at 1.99€ (which is 25% of the retail price O_o). Brilliant! I got them yesterday and they're just great <3
Yay eBay.
Yay new outfits!
Actually, the contents of my closet are now pieced together from all sorts of resources. But as long as the end result is nice, who cares ;)
However, I really need to get used to playing Wii Fit on a regular basis, because I wouldn't mind my clothes being a little less tight...

Speaking of eBay, I really gotta take some photos now. Ka-ching! Yep, even more stuff coming up for sale...

I don't believe this.

(Screen shot from

That's correct. We have a leak.
Someone acquired the DVDs of the first season (don't ask me how, maybe KSM accidentally delivered some of them despite the postponement) and posted all the dubbed episodes on BT.
How the hell are we supposed to get people to watch it on TV now?!

... wow, I honestly thought this week couldn't possibly get any worse. Ha ha frickin' ha.
And don't even ask about the huge thunderstorm that will apparently be hitting the city in about an hour. There's no way our satellite dish is gonna stay on the roof this time T_T
... right now, I have a heckload of smelling plant powder mixed with half a liter of lemon juice in my hair, which is additionally wrapped with plastic wrap and a towel.
It's scorchingly hot today and I'm supposed to leave this stuff on there for hours. Well, seems I chose the best possible day to do this. Not.
Considering the circumstances (the fact I've never dyed my hair myself, that I'm dead clumsy and terribly short-sighted), I think I did it rather well. I'll need to do a few things a bit differently next time (a bit more fluid into the henna, also, a bit more hanna cuz 100 grams cut thigns awfully close) but voerall, I'm kinda satisfied with my performance *lol*
However, I don't even wanna begin thinking of all the ways in which this could still go wrong O_O
*ignores for now and continues researching the LJ issue and playing around with the clone services*

I ordered one O_o
Look at the snake pattern! Isn't that kinda perfect for a Slytherin? =)
And it's a real one, too. Not some plastic thingy. Might come in handy at some point *wink wink nudge nudge*
Well, with that and my scarf, my Slytherin costume seems to be complete. Or at least as complete as it can get, considering my nearly complete lack of monetary surplus.
I have a hat, too.
Now let's hope the weather forecast people are right and it won't be searingly hot on the 20th. My costume isn't exactly airy *stares at thick, black voat, starting tot hink this whole thing might be even crazier than it seemed in the beginning* XDD
Anyway. "Deathly Hallows" midnight release, here I come!!
[ profile] yamasagi just called me, telling me to check on TV reception and to tell him if/when it breaks off completely and it doesn't come back.
Well, he's worried about his huge-ass satellite dish. We're having a small hurricane right now and changes of it being blown off the roof are very real indeed.
Uh-oh *eyes TV screen*
Right now, I'm sitting here in a very crumpled skirt and a very crumpled spaghetti strap top. I'm just not bothering with ironing in this heat *wipes sweat*

Well. I just got Super Eurobeat Vol. 177 and while I was listening to it for the fist time, I wrote down what I thought. Just to annoy you with it ;)
Here we go.
(BTW, the thing in brackets is the label that produced each song)

177!!! )

Whee, it's snowing :D

Roku-chan (my Nokia 6230i) got his new outfit today:

Mmh, pretteh black... It was good to replace the cover since the original one had a scratch somewhere in the display area. Which isn't as bad as it sounds because it's just a cover and so the display itself wasn't harmed. Still, it looks better this way. And the keyboard is totally not better than my old one O_O;;;
(And YES, that IS a SUZUMIYA Haruhi wallpaper :3)

I have also put Di Gi Charat Winter Garden in my download queue. It's a two-part TV special set ten years into the future. Apparently, it's a serious drama as opposed to the weird, wacky humour of the other series. And as a long-time Dejiko fan, it's needless to say that I'm more than curious as to if - and if, how - they managed to pull that one off.

A thunderstorm in Janauary. I can't fuckin' believe it.
Woah *wipes eyes*
Jon and that puppy, that easily hit my Top ten of Cutest Things ever.
*blows nose*

I'm back on Max after my six-day experiment of "Is it possible to rely solely on your laptop?". Well, it worked perfectly, I'm fuckin' proud of Kan-chan, but it seems like Max is pouting. He's acting up like mad. Firefox made him crash violently and right now, he refuses to talk to my digicam. Eek O_O

Got myself a CMS to manage my site collective.
Bro recommened Etomite sinc eit's effective and not as huge and difficult as some of the others.
Tried it and it's brilliant!
Importing my pre-made layout was a matter of minutes and it seems like my HTML knowledge stopped getting in the way, too ;)

Now it's day two after the storm and we still got no streetlamps.
And it's only situations like this that makes you realize just how dark the night itself can be if there's no electricity around.

... storm? No lights? Darkbess? Nowhere to go? Nothing to do?
*twoe ars pop up in the corner of the room*
Oh noes!!
*fights off bunny*
BTW, mum's making rabbit tomorrow T_T

So, things turned out worse than expected. Ten people died, most of them here in the West and not in the North. I can't help thinking it's because people here were ignoring the whole thing because the North usually gets most of it. Well, wrong.
At about 7:30, we got the first minor power outage. Luckily, it only lasted for a few minutes.
Unfortunately, when everything was running again, the 'net started behaving strangely, including me getting timeouts from some servers in Germany
When the electricity was back, I got a call from a friend of mum, who told me choir practice is off. Unfortunately, at that point, mum was already on the way. But she came back shortly afterwards because the street was blocked anyway ;)
At about 8:45, it happened. Mum was back and sitting in her upstairs room with a mug of hot soup, dad was in the living room and bro and me in front of our computer/laptop. Everything went black again.
This time, it lasted a little longer. Two and a half hours, to be precise.
But since I got such a great and funny family, we didn't get bored AT ALL.
Mum, me and bro sat in my room, talking and making stupid jokes, mum and me had some Martini for no particular reason and we deposited candles and tea lights throughout the house.
A bit later, mum got out the fondue spirit cooker and made hot water so everyone who wanted could make him/herself some tea. Bro and me actually had some of my stocked ramen which was delicious. At about 11:15, everything came back. Mum and dad went to bed, bro and me continued to talk and laugh in his room.
Unfortunately, an hour later, the power was gone AGAIN and we decided to go to sleep as well.
So, that was my evening, in case anyone wondered where I was ;)

Sorry, but I think people around here are taking the whole storm issue not nearly as serious as they should.
It's not only a problem of the North!
In Bavaria (which, in case you don't know, is the southmost part of the country), a 18-month old kid was killed by a blown-away terrace door.
And like, ten minutes ago, the Deutsche Bahn stopped all trains in North Rhine Westpalia (area where I live).
If that's not serious, I dunno what is O_O;;;
Holy shit, there's half a tornado blowing outside. Actually, it's upposed to get even worse tomorrow.
*checks on Kou-chan*
You just hold on to the ground tightly, right? And if that doesn't help, I'm gonna grab my blanket and sleep inside you *lol*
... did I just say that? O_____o
(Actually, I wouldn't mind that since he's mine and stuff...)

I just came back from a grrrreat evening. Bro and me looked at old Nintendo games on an emulator, laughed, talked and just had a lot of fun in general.
Sorry for being sentimental, but I'm lucky to have a brother like him. I mean, I've always said that I wouldn't exchange him for anyone else and it's still true.

Last night, I've been raiding YouTube for TDS/TCR and JonxStephen-related stuff.

Well, there's a number of fanvids, and since most of them use similar sets of scenes, I'll bring you my favourite:

Awwwwww *swoons*
I like the song, it's cute and fits the pictures. Awesome editing job as well!

And a nice one for everyone else who is just interested in good comedy.
Here, Jon checks in with Stephen at the end of his show and something seems to be wrong with Stephen's text. But see for yourself, it's hilarious!

OMG - Stephen speaking in typos XDDD
"It just so happlens my normal proogreafer is out dick." I nearly fainted from laughing so hard when I watched that for the first time.
And Jon losing it, like most of the time? Too adorkable *giggles*
I love those two. So much.

(PS: Made even more icons, this time: JonxStephen all the way ^_^)

The sky has been rumbling for some time now but I doubt anything even remotely thunderstorm-like is gonna happen soon.
Oh well...
So Myspace was down today cuz of a power outage. Well, whatever *shrugs*
What's worse is that if the weather doesn't change, Germany might suffer from power shortage O_o

Read an amazing interview last night =)

But apart from that, nothing intersting happened.

*goes back to snatching anime music releases*

I read in the news that yesterday was the hottest day ever in Hamburg.
Maybe I should stop reading the news at all cuz now I'm being chased by that mental image of our fave slutty Power Metal singer running around naked cuz of the heat (or just because XD). Oh goody *wipes sweat off face*

In other - and probably less crazy - news: Open air cinema tonight (X-Men 3).

€dit: My Austrian friend Moni ([ profile] mirmingi) seems to use her LJ now. She even bought a paid account! Too bad she doesn't seem to want to write in English - shame on ya ;P

( Jul. 18th, 2006 04:40 pm)
There was this entry on my German weblog. I talked about a GR video bootleg I grabbed off P2P.
Today, I got the following necro-comment:
Hi,I am really interested in this bootleg. Can you reupload it please?Only for one day.Answer me please on my email. Thanks very much

For one, someone should teach that guy what a space key is.
For another, why do people still think everyone has the time and the webspace (and the connection for god's sake) to upload huuuge files for total strangers and let them drain their website traffic?
It's a complete mystery to me.
Of course, the question of HOW he got there isn't. Geez, I hate Google >:O
Now I hope the guy (judging from his email address, he's Czech) understood the stuff I wrote in my email. Guess I'll keep you updated, should he reply. Which I doubt. But reality tends to defy my imagination anyway, so we'll see.

Eek, Forecastfox is displaying that scary red thermometer again. Guess for the next two days, we're gonna hide inside the house and try not to move that much.

... is gonna be the hottest day of the year.
35 fucking degrees.

At least I have the right music.

( Jul. 13th, 2006 05:23 pm)
... could you please fuck off? I can't stand you any more -_-
I mean, starting to sweat again the moment you step out of the shower - where's the fun in that??

And then...
Why the hell did Kai agree to produce Stormwarrior?
Apart from the reasons WE would probably want to make up? ^_~
I mean, REALLY... That band is so absolutely and utterly mediocre, it's not even funny!
The singer isn't trying to copy Kai at all. Nah. Hey, even his pronounciation sounds like him more often than not.
And all that "deathe", "grounde" and "fighte" stuff is just so terribly annoying. It certainly doesn't make your their lyrics any better to add a goddamn "e" to every verb and subject O_o
Can you tell I'm appalled?
I'm only listening to a couple of their songs cuz Kai sings in them.
Tho I can recommend "Chains of slavery". Kai's parts are just HOT :)~~~~
... and the last part of "Heroic deathe" is nice, too. Kai somehow forced a lot more melody (and quality) into the whole thing simply by singing the end of it.
But all in all... Stormwarrior = Bleh.

New Kai pics = love! Especially some of the Rock Harz ones ^^

Wow. I've never seen that icon before O_o

So... out of the World Cup we are. But it's OK. And we'll be playing in the "little final" as we call it and maybe we can become third :D
What's worse is that mum won the jackpot. We'd been betting on all Germany games but nobody ever managed to predict the right score. So now mum got 24€ and we're never gonna hear the end of it O_O;;;

€dit: Skirt came. Me likes <3 Now waiting for mum to get home and do her usual "Eeeee, but you're like, too fat and ugly to wear anything that's not a potato bag" bit. Good times -_- Pics? Later. Once I learn to actually leave my body to take one of me...

Edit 2: She came, didn't seem to care. Huh?

Too... hot... not... fun...
And mum said it's gonnna be even hotter tomorrow. Hello?! Stop this, please *melts [but not in a good way]*

Germany - Italy: Tonight!
And some big German newspaper apparently wrote some crap about pissing off the Italians by ordering pizza at 9 PM (that's when the game starts). They even added a list of phone numbers. Bastards.

Got myself registered for WLAN access at uni. Wow, they even explicitly allow us to chat and use IRC and stuff *thinks of all the bad things she coud do* >:D And I looove the maps over at ther webpage where you can check what areas have been equipped with WLAN already. Cute ^^
Our IT center is abbreviated as ZIMT (Zentrum für Informations- und Medientechnologie), but Zimt is also a real word meaning cinnamon. Haha, very funny indeed XD
I also leaned that we have a cluster of 256 CPUs called "Rubens" (cuz said painter was born in Siegen). It's made up of said CPUs (AMD Opteron), 256 GB (!) RAM and about 20 TB (Terabyte, 1 TB ~ 1000 GB) HDD space. Cool...
