I said a lot of stupid things yesterday and today. This wasn't the first time I did something lime this but I'll try my utmost to make it the last time ever.
[profile] silicondreams and [profile] rdyfrde, you two work hard for the money that makes it possible to do these fun things together. This is great, the both of you totally deserve it and if I ever so much as show the tiniest sign of being a stupid, jealous asshole again, feel free to kick me. Hard.
Right now, I'm not in a state to do any of the stuff you do. I'm a student, just got out of a horrible marriage and am trying to get by by myself, financially and psychologically. Once I graduate, I'll try to find a decent job that will hopefully give me enough money to travel a bit once in a while.
And, provided you two don't mind, and after all of this crap, it would still be understandable if you did, I'd love to be a part of the gang.
Until then, I'm sorry and hope you'll still want to be my friends, preferably for, like, 4759 years ;)
I was just re-reading old entries when I stumbled upon this, written on January 1st, 2008. It's about Kai dubbing Nigel Marven in "Prehistoric Park".
My favourite scene so far [...] was the one in episode 5 where Nigel visits the prehistoric woods and, in a hushed voice, calls them "magic forest". I'm not sure if I've ever heard Kai #2 using the "totally in awe" mode of speaking before, but needless to say, I died.

Well, more than two and a half years later I can say that I have heard him using that hushed way of speaking several times.
... mainly when saying goodbye to me on the phone... ^_^;;;
Just saying *beams*

Looking back at what happened until today, it's almost impossible to believe.
I mean, we met half a dozen times, I slept in his house, we explored Munich, did the live audio play together (or at least that's what I like to think), we watched movies for hours and he showed me his studio and other music stuff and cooked awesome meals for me, he got me my first translating job and I actually got paid for it just yesterday, the first week here when I didn't have internet yet he seemed to be worried and called me so often I was amazed he always plays along with me weird nerdy antics and after a while even started using netspeak himself, and so on.
Really, I know I' not one who gets lucky with stuff on a regular basis, but Kai is one of the few things that just happened to me and changed my life into something better, happier and much more worthwhile.

Thanks, baby.
You mean the world to me, y'know?

A very Happy Birthday to [personal profile] kelpierocks!!

( Aug. 24th, 2009 05:36 pm)
- My dad forgot my birthday. Meh -_-

- Got another package from Japan with stuff for me and [profile] yamasagi plus my traditional small present to give to Kai in two weeks.

- That's right, it's only a fortnight until I finally get to see him again. Damn, I can't wait :3 I'm SO looking forward to getting into the studio with him, and this time, it'll be different in several ways. Gonna elaborate on that in a forthcoming entry =)

- Today, I used half of my mini Hair Doctor tryout pot I got from Lush. The stuff is very much like henna in terms of yucky-ness, but it smells of peppermint which is nice. Dunno what it does until my hair is completely dired, but it already feels kinda nice and softer than before.

- I also got my antidepressant and thyroid pill prescriptions and when I got to the pharmacy, they actually had both of them in stock for once. Should I be worried? *lol* Dentist appointment tomorrow, but I'm only supposed to get the new fillings polished. So, let's hope he doesn't find anything else worth doing O_O;;;

- Started watching "Japanorama". The show is nicely done, Jonathan Ross is adorkable and I like that, despite his accent, he can at least say some things like "What's this?" in Japanese ^^ Am currently downloading a torrent that has the extra segments as well. DO WANT.

- Finally, I love you all. SRSLY. I have some of the best-est friends one could imagine *hugs everyone* <3

Guess what? I HAS A KAI!

... who just happens to be the biggest dork in the entire unvierse <3 <3 <3

From now on, I shall carry this photo with me wherever I go ^_^

Also... Happy Belated Birthday to my dear [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrde! Sowwy, just didn't make it yesterday =_=

NOW... catchin' up (or at least tryin' to)... O.o

Uh... if you ask me, those Asus people really need a lector or two....

I also recently opened a new account at studiVZ. It's here. [livejournal.com profile] mirmingi has already found it <3 I also looked up some other people and sent friend requests. However, since I still might have forgotten someone, just add me if you want ^^
Thanks, everyone, for your replies to my entry from this morning. The stomach ache eventually disappeared, only to be replaced by teh migraine of doom. But I battled that with a pill, so all's well now.
Also, [livejournal.com profile] mirmingi, I think you might have a point about the excitement thingy. You're not the only person who had that sort of suspicion *lol*

Anyway. Oh, look what has leaked:
Eekness.
No, I'm NOT listening to it... Okay, I did check out "Ministy of saints" because I know it already... But that's all *buries the rest in the depth of her HDD until her real copy arrives*

[livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive for February 22

Name five...

1. ... things you can't live without.

1. The people I love
2. Music
3. The 'net
4. Me XD
5. The English language

2. ... of the best moments in your life.

(In chronological order)

1. June 25, 2000 - Day I got cookie... er, the mail where [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi told me he loves me
2. July 8, 2000 - Day I met [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi for the first time (Yea, weird order of events, huh? XD)
3. June 25, 2005 - Day [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi proposed to me
4. August 26, 2006 - Day I went to Torino to meet [livejournal.com profile] silicondreams for the first time ^^
5. February 8, 2008 - Day Kai-niichan sent me the first email <3

I guess before 2K0, my life pretty much sucked. Also, it's interesting how all of those dates are people-related. Maybe I'm not that anti-social after all? ^^

3. ... celebrities you can't stand.

(In no particular oder)

1. Paris Hilton (Well, that one is obvious...)
2. Dieter Bohlen (BTW, I learned why he didn't voice Troubadix - Kai-niichan told me he didn't wanna attend the casting *headdesk*)
3. George W. Bush (Another obvious one)
4. Amy Winehouse (I couldn't care less about her music OR her drug career...)
5. Britney Spears (Oh, come ON...)

4. ... books you enjoy(ed) reading.

(Again, ordered randomly)

1. "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde
2. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" (... and the other ones, of course, but just listing them would've been boring, so I just piked my favourite.) by good old JKR
3. "Falco. Hoch wie nie." by (The only German-language book on my list and one of two Falco biographies I have read. I don't think there are any more except the one written by his "daughter"...)
4. "Making History" by Stephen Fry
5. "The Ultimate History of Video Games: From Pong to Pokemon and Beyond...the Story Behind the Craze That Touched Our Lives and Changed the World" (*pants* Yeah, that's the full title O_o) by Steve L. Kent

5. ... items in your purse/backpack/on your desk.
1. Rick (my laptop)
2. Jack (my iPod)
3. Yoru-sama (my cellphone)
4. A bunch of DVDs ("Prehistoric Park" and two of its "prequels")
5. Koori-chan (my external HDD case)

( Nov. 6th, 2007 10:19 pm)
So, no laptop (Friday, hopefully), and no game (tomorrow, I'm sure of it, shoulda been here today).
Whatev.
In other news: Today was my first "day of the bag" at my new university. What the hell is that, you ask?
Well, it's basically some people giving out plastic bags that contain freebies, free magazines, brochures and such. There's stuff like small tryout packages of food, condoms (!), hygiene products (Did they notice the same thing I tend to notice about certain male fellow students? =_=) and so on. Today, there was a CD-R in it O_o
They also had a new kind of lottery where they take your photo and put it on their website. Then, you have to check for your pic, tell them the number and your name/address/university and you can win some stuff. Unfortunately, I already found mine. Please don't click, I look horrible and sick and ugh. Well, I am sick, but still. Maaaannnn... T_T

Finally, in other other news:
=> Fellow Doctor Who fans identified at new uni: 2
=> Of those, number of students in my year: 1
Not bad for three weeks into it, eh? I guess having a Ten/Jack/Martha wallpaper on Kan-chan does help. Today, after the last lecture, Hendrik, who had been sitting behind me, suddenly asked "So, how far have you watched it?". Hee =)

I hope my voice doesn't disappear again tomorrow. I'm having lunch with Cathi and not being able to talk when we only meet once a week would definitely suck big time. Fingers crossed, eh?

That meme is awesome. It's fun to imagine the people doing the stuff it says *snickers* [/rather bored, hence easily amused]

There just was a teaser for some new TV series, and the background music was "Amaranth". But that's not surprising since ProSieben (one of the three major private TV channels) is kinda notorious for advertising and supporting Metal bands. They campaigned hugely for Edguy a couple of times. I wonder what music they'll use once they start running trailers for Doctor Who... if ever ;_;

Finally, a scary piece of news (seen at [livejournal.com profile] nebelkraehes [GJ only, I think], thank you ^^)
Notes near Body Parts in Belgium Linked to Death Note
Uh-oh. Knowing the German media, they'll be banning manga and anime next. Provided this event actually gets through to them. We'll see.
On Saturday night, we started watching "Heroes". [livejournal.com profile] mirmingi recommended it and since just about everyone else seems to be into it, I decided we should join the frenzy.
So we watched
And watched.
And watched.
And... you get the picture ^^;;;
Yesterday, we started after lunch and only paused for dinner. Our projector had a long workday XD
We're up to episode thriteen (which will be next).
And if that's not an indication of whether we like it or not, lemme say this:
Holy CRAP.
I don't think I've ever watched something this intense and gripping. The storyline is totally unpredictable - unless you're [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi, but he is hopeless anyway. I wouldn't have thought that something as generic as "story about people with super powers" could be translated into something this memorable. Characters? Brilliant. Plot? Exciting as hell and makes you curse the human need for sleep ;)
So... yes, we love it. Hard.
Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mirmingi for talking about it and making me wanna try it out. I won't forget ^_^

Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrde!!!
I wish you a truckload of brilliant pressies and as many nekkid Rockstars as you can eat.
... er, what? XDD
Anyway, have a great birthday ^_^
Okay, seems like I'm doing everything Colbert style today, so...

Tip of the Hat to:

... Applian Technologies. Their Replay A/V 8 finally made it possible for me to capture old c't TV shows from the 'net. They're Real Media streams and were really tricky to beat. But well, every stream is recordable in some way, and it's been proven once again.

... mum's choir's server admin. He installed MYSQL support for PHP last night and we finally got Etomite up and running. Nice ^_^

Wag of the Finger to:

... my mum because apparently, she hardly listens to the computer stuff I try to teach her. And if she does, she still doesn't act accordingly. Not. Helping. *grumbles*

... myself and my sudden inability to pick a present. And I thought I was good at that. Like hell I am *pulls hair*

(Okay, this was fun, I might just do that more often.)

First, I send love and hugs to [livejournal.com profile] thekelaal and her family. We're thinking of you, dear.

Coming up next: Boring stuff about mum's choir and their webpage.

Not interesting at all )

My CPU fan is running at half speed, sometimes making less than 1000 RPM. I have no idea why and it doesn't seem to affect the processor's temperature in any way. But it still bothers me. For I am paranoid.

... with random people friending and defriending me?
Usually, this hardly happens at all but suddenly, it occurred three times in less than a week. Strange.
That's "random people" as in "people I don't know and that usually don't have anything in common with me".
I guess it's just idiots randomly adding people because they have nothing better to do.
*pets carefully chosen and dearly beloved flist* ;)
Still. This starts to feel like Skype *lol*

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*pants*

Okay, the story from the very beginning.
A quarter of an hour before I suddenly remembered that while mum is away nobody checks the mail. So I went out to do so.
And what did I see lying around on the newspaper box?
A package. From amazon.com. Which, of course, I never ordered. Because I cannot order from them as I don't own a credit card.
So what the hell WAS THIS?
Well, something inside told me I knew what it was, especially when I noticed the size and something about it containing DVDs written on top of it.
Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut at that one that meme? ;)

Well, to make a long story short, I finally managet to tear the packaging apart and out came...

House Season Two!!

And it had a sheet containing mine and [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrdes addresses and a note saying "Happy Birthday, Jessy".

Holy fucking fuck.
*rolls around on the floor, squealing like mad*

Thank you SO MUCH, dear [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrde! I love you!!! Seriously!!!
As soon as I get the chance, I'm SO gonna get down to Seattle and hug you to death :D

*very happy bunny indeed*
