Take Which Doctor Who companion are you? (girls) today!
Created with Rum and Monkey's Personality Test Generator.
You're Rose Tyler!

You are spunky, determined, and as religiously devoted to your Doctor as you are to chips. (He's the only one who doesn't know how sweet you are on him, too.) You never stay put when you're told to stay put, but just when everyone expects you to get roasted by the monster of the week, you turn right around and figure out the mystery. You're sharp as a tack, but also sensitive, knowing when the Doctor needs someone to back him up or when he just needs a hand to hold. He seems to think he can get rid of you... you're quick to show him he's wrong!

Which Torchwood character are you?
Toshiko Sato You're a genius with technology, but people get the best of you. Your love life is a shambles, but that doesn't stop you from being an incurable romantic. Too bad you keep falling for the unattainable ones. You might not realize your worth, but you're loved by those who really count. Your one true failing is hesitation to go for what you really desire in life before your chance has passed you by.

I bet you were thinking I wasn't gonna do this one, huh?

Click here for teh hotness ^^ )

You might think I forgot someone. And in a way I did.
Well, in the beginning, I wanted to leave him out of this completely but then decided to include him as a sort of bonzus.
For some reason, I feel like he doesn't quite fit in here, yasee?

Finally - honorary mention (16/15)... )

There you go. That was MY weird little list.
Probably the most chaotic one yet. But who cares? ;)

Okay, that's the final proof.
I must have "slasher" written on my forehead.
Why?
Well, guess who just sent me this link?

I know it's not exactly likely, but just imagine if that really happened... *dreamy sigh of dreamy sighs*

On Sunday, "Doomsday" was aired here in Germany. That was the last dubbed episode for now and, looking at it in a realistic way, probably the last one for all time.
Another TV station did buy Torchwood, but we now know that it'll be dubbed in Berlin, without Kai being involved. Wow, that hurts. And I'm sure the dub won't be half as good as the Doctor Who one since the people working on it surely don't know jack shit about the show it originated from. Also, watching Torchwood without even knowing Doctor Who? Absolute madness.

I'll try to get a clip or two from "The impossible Planet" (Kai voicing Satan :D) and post it soon.

First of all, a little David picspam (stolen from the German Whoboard)!

Awwwwww <3

Today, the first part of the "Doctor Who" season 2 finale "Army of Ghosts" (called "Die Armee der Geister" in German, again, an entirely literal translation) will air on German TV. Can't wait to see. I mean, the team that dubbed this series has got to be one of the best ones in the history of German television. BTW - I actually got to know the sound engineer when I visited the Scalamedia studios with Kai earlier this month, and he's a very cute and nice (and also surprisingly young) guy.
So, let's see what they did with some of the saddest moments I've ever witnessed in a series. Like always, I'm not scared in the slightest because everything else so far has been breathtakingly good ^^

Finally, the biddings on my eBay auctions ahve started moving. Come on, people, I need the money for November XDD

I managed to find torrents for the other German episodes of Doctor Who season 2 after all.
Which means that I'll be able to show you Devil!Kai :D

Unfortunately, the German title of "Fear Her" retained that stupid error (a question makr that certainly doesn't belong there). Kai told me about it some time ago, but actually seeing it on screen yesterday hurt even more. I can't believe how many mistakes people make if one (or, in this case, Kai) don't watch over every tiny step.
And of course, the German fans noticed. Damn.

Doctor Who/Colbert Report crossover.
I think I have died and gone to heaven.
:x
Alrighty.
I managed to grab digital versions of all dubbed episodes of Doctor Who season 2 that have been aired so far (1-4).
And now, I present you a clip of Kai doing K-9 :D

First of all, here is the file (right-click and "save as") [.avi, 4.68 MB].

Original dialogue
(With Noel Clarke as Mickey Smith and John Leeson as the voice of K-9)

Mickey: Come on, I need some help.
K-9: System restarting. All primary drives functioning.
Mickey: You're working. Okay. Okay, no time to explain, we need to get inside the school. Do you have, like, I don't know, a lock picking device?
K-9: We are in a car.
Mickey: Maybe a drill attachment?
K-9: We are in a car.
Mickey: Fat lot of good you are.
K-9: We are in a car.
Mickey: Wait a second. We're in a car. Get back!

Dubbed dialogue
(With Johannes Raspe as Mickey Smith and Kai Taschner as the voice of K-9)

... Jesus Christ. So cute :x

Just showing off my new icon <3
As expected, Kai as K-9 was pure awesome. Very faithful to the original, but still totally him.
I actually called Soulbrother last night and told him I liked it, among a gazillion other things. We talked for about three quarters of an hour. Eee ^^
Too bad I prolly can't afford the trip to Munich right now... *sigh*

Aaarrrggghhhh!!! They're airing my beloved Stargate Atlantis pilot episode. Dubbed. So bad. DO NOT WANT A BILLION TIMES!!! *runs and hides*

Have you seen this?

Awesome. I'm SO checking out the DS version ^^

And [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi is probably looking forward to the July release of "Trauma Center 2". He loved the first one.
Actually, I'm writing this to the sound of him testing something on his DS (the new-ish silver model). Gaming nerds, that's what we are. Oh yes ;)

I just read in an interview that the chance of series 3 of "Doctor Who" being dubbed and aired in Germany are currently 60:40.

Oh god, please... *flails*

... everyone back from the strike? Yeah, me too. Sorta.
I caught the goddamn stomach flu (though that "Get well" from Kai did make me feel better already ^^) and didn't really sleep well the lats two nights.
Also, we're invited for Easter lunch (and very probably dinner as well) at my parents' tomorrow and won't return before late evening.
Therefore, stuff will be even more delayed =_=

Finally, the trailer for series 4 of "Doctor Who" will be available at the website from tonight. New episodes starting April, 5. Can't bloody wait *flails*

... here is the first bunch of photos.
I'll start with the German DVD box set of "Doctor Who" (season one).

Piccies this way! )

The next couple of entries will be friends-only, for obvious reasons. Stay tuned...

First and foremost, a very, very Happy Birthday to my dear [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrde!
Have a great day, lots of pressies and see you in Wacken ^_^

And secondly, I took about a million pics of my Doctor Who DVD box and Kai's stuff.
Apparently, my cellphone's camera application was malfunctioning again because they all turned out to be blurred :|
Which means that I'll have to redo them.
And since resizing and converting them (not to mention writing the actual entries) will take hours, I have no choice other than to postpone the whole thing to tomorrow.
But then, expect a shitload of piccies and rambling :D

I also watched the dubbed version of "The empty Child"/"The Doctor dances". And holy shit, our German Captain Jack is amazing. Lovelovelove him <3
