In November I donated bone marrow to zero_kiriyuu in a life-saving procedure (300 points). In June I broke soviet_star's X-Box (-12 points). Last Thursday I didn't flush (-1 points). So, I got 50€ from my parents, that's why I just extended my Paid Account to October 2009 ^_^
My max userpics increased by 2 to 121, which is pretty nice.

I also ordered this jacket, which I've been after for months, but never seemed to have the money left to actually get it ;)

Alright, many happy things for today.

- Buying stuff for our Xmas Eve fondue (OM NOM NOM) :D~~~~

- Got a new, cute and warm black quilted winter coat ^_^

- Plans for tomorrow: Going to Little Japan (the Japanese quarter of Düsseldorf) to buy sushi and sweets, then filling up our supplies of Ben & Jerry's on the way home. Whee~!

- yamasagi just ordered a new camera for himself (an Canon EOS 450D if I'm not mistaken), which means I'll get his old one once the new specimen arrives. The old one is a Kodak Z7590, BTW. An awesome, almost semi-professional device, and certainly tons better than my current C813.

Finally, a test I found on some message board, and I don't even know who the character is that I ended up getting *lol*

Just ordered presents for silicondreams, Soulbrother and yamasagi.
Wow, I'm being decidedly uncreative this year. So much obvious stuff *lol* But at least I'm sure they'll all like what they get ;)
After this, there'll be about three Euros left on my bank account cuz one of the eBay people is refusing to pay T_T
However, yamasagi's pressie will get me a 5€ amazon gift card. I think I'll use it to get a nice 2009 calendar ^^

So there. And now... two and a half weeks of real holiday. And we'll begin with some sleeping.

In about two hours, we'll be off to celebrate Christmas Eve at my family's.
Until then, there are still a few things left to be done (e.g. Having to check my village and see what the animals are up to today. One advice: Don't even start "Animal Crossing" if you don't know what you're getting yourself into *lol*).

First of all, Happy New Year everyone!!

So, what did we do so far?
Uh... nothing of significance, I'm afraid ^_^;;;

We watched a handful of movies, went shopping a couple of times, did hours of cat cuddling (<3) and worked on our Warhammer armies we got/bought for Xmas. Pics of various things later.

Also, Kan-chan is now running on an amazing 80 GB HDD. I was completely taken aback when I noticed that the laptop is suddenly completely SILENT. Before getting the new HDD, he always made a distinct humming kind of sound. We suspected that was due to some fan but turns out, it was the old HDD *gasp* Actually, we took it apart and found a small metal part that was flying around loose INSIDE the hard disk O______O

Anywho, Kan-chan is now blazingly fast, silent as hell and seems to use up even less eletricity than before.

Apart from that, yours truly is about to buy one of these things that have four wheels and eat petrol. Yeehaa, an ador(k)able lil' motorized cutie for moi =)
Unfortnateloy, I won't be able to say anything interesting about that until I'm home at the end of the week. Still, thought you'd like to know.

- lunch@Xmas fair with the family
- Borat (subtitled!) at 10 PM (with mum and bro)

Sunday
- lunch@granny's
- yamasagi will arrive at our place in the afternoon
- early evening: presents! (Those of you who didn't know yet: We Germans get them on the evening of the 24th)
- four-course dinner made by mum (I have the menu list and might have a go at translating it later)

Monday
- lunch at home
- off to yamasagis and having a great time there
- coming back on a yet undecided date in early January

That episode also had a classical UK/US misunderstanding between Stephen and Moe Rich Hall. Rich said his aunt was struck by a lightning and Stephen thought he meant his ant ^_^;;; Somehow, it's kinda weird to actually see something like this happen.

BTW, Stephen came sixth in the BBC Living Icons poll. Not bad considering he had to compete against Sir David Attenborough, Paul Mc Cartney and David Bowie!
