Y'know, for the past couple of weeks, I keep getting the urge to call it quits and delete this thing.
Maybe it's just me, but I somehow don't feel like I belong here any more.
People move on and I can't blame them, but I just seem to be stuck in place.

So, seems like I finally got LoudTwitter to work. Kinda. Tags and custom userpics still don't show up, and to be honest, I've stopped caring. I'm good as long as my tweets show up here AT ALL.

I just lowered Avira's heurisitc detection level. Hopefully, it'll now stop trying to make me delete that evil, evil trojan called mIRC every now and then O_o

Also (stolen from [livejournal.com profile] sorion)...

You Would Win Best Costume Design

You are imaginative, artistic, and very unique. You are a natural designer.

You can picture entire movies in your head. You are incredibly visual.

As long as you can remember, you've always had a flare for fashion. You like to experiment with looks.

You like dressing up in costumes and outfits. And not just for Halloween!

Visual? Well, maybe, but I'm at least as much an auditory type. Hell, one of my best friends is a voice actor. That proof enough? *lol*

Speaking of Kai - lookit my spankin' new userpic ^______^ <3 <3 <3

Hope everyone had a nice and peaceful Christmas. I sure did =)

So, I got 50€ from my parents, that's why I just extended my Paid Account to October 2009 ^_^
My max userpics increased by 2 to 121, which is pretty nice.

I also ordered this jacket, which I've been after for months, but never seemed to have the money left to actually get it ;)

4chan is being attacked by another wave of spam Ugh -_-

More about my presents and the three days of Xmas once I get around to actually writing something up ^_^;;;

Finally, have a longcat!

(Tenchi. He's a BIG kitty O.o)
- Finished my new blog layout in record time. And it turned out really nice, if you ask me =)

- Finally grabbed "Enson Vol. 2". Remember? I talked about it here and here. And since I already romanized the tracklist, the fact that the files I got were all in kana didn't matter at all *proud of herself*

I also added some claims to my profile. Have a look at the stuff (in the "omake" section), it's really amusing XD

ETA: I uploaded ENSON Vol .2 for the Nigihana community. Click here (Megaupload link)!

Did a bit of fiddling.
Not sure if that's the final version, but at least I changed the most important parts.
And it certainly needs anohter spellcheck, I surely made lots of typos because I was in a hurry... Ah well, tomorrowÄs another day!
Damn, that's the first real update I made on there in the last two years ^_^;;;

So, jessybxx, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 2% unique (blame, for example, your interest in kai taschner) and 25% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy yaoi). When it comes to friends you are normal. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is conventional.

Your overall weirdness is: 19

(The average level of weirdness is: 28.
You are weirder than 41% of other LJers.)

Find out what your weirdness level is!

Eh. Right now, I'm torn between being happy about the whole "unique" things (since that's what I'm trying to be) and being sorry for poor Soulbro since apparently, no one on LJ's interested in him apart from me ;_;

I'm having far, far too much fun with the new DragonForce album right now. Their songs still sound the same, but unfortunately, "the same" in this case means "really great to listen to". Eek.

I just bought twelve months of Paid Account and Extra Userpics.
Yeah, I know. So wrong. But I just missed all the VIP stuff so much ;_;

Also, I'm back. Um... hi :D

Actually, I've got TONS of news, but I'll put off spamming you all until tomorrow. Look forward to it... or not ^^

Totally unrelated, but anyway.
I've been watching speedruns all day (from here, if you're interested at all). One of them was of the orginal "The Legend of Zelda" on the NES. I've beaten it on the original console but back then, I didn't know about this so I couldn't have noticed.
When the credits came up I noticed that KONDO Koji, the music composer (that's the guy who created the famous Hyrule overworld theme and all the other amazing Zelda tunes) is credited as KONCHAN.
Awww :3

... god, I'm such a nerd. And the fact that I just spent two days converting a bunch of NES and SNES soundtracks to put them onto my iPod doesn't make it any better ^^;;;

Finally... damn, it's good to be back *huggles everyone*

As you probably know by now, LiveJournal has discontinued new basic accounts; the only two options are a paid account or a plus account. [livejournal.com profile] beckyzoole has proposed this:

The one-day content strike is on for this Friday, March 21, from midnight GMT to midnight GMT.

For 24 hours, we will not post or comment to LJ. Not in our own journals, not in communities. Not publicly, privately, or under friends-lock.

This is a protest that will have long-lasting effects, showing up forever in the daily posting statistics.

This is a protest that will not harm LJ in the long run, as leaving LJ might do.

This is a protest that will demonstrate the power of community, as all users unite to support Basic users and the concept of adfree space.

This is a protest that will educate the new owners that LJ is driven by user-created content.

How Can I Help?

DO post about this in your own LJ.
DO post and comment about it in appropriate communities.
DO remember that it's based on Greenwich Mean Time, which may not be your local time.
DO turn off LoudTwitter and your RSS feeds for 24 hours.
DO feel free to friend [livejournal.com profile] beckyzoole for updates, and defriend when the strike is over.
DON'T forget to get permission from community mods before making an off-topic post or comment about the strike.
DON'T be spammy with your posts or comments about the strike.

These are the points we want to make through the strike:

# Restore basic accounts for new account creation.

# Inform users before any change to the site that affects how we use the site or demands on our resources.

# Run change proposals by the Advisory Board and take their advice into account before implementation of any change.

# Homophobia, misogyny, and racism must not be a part of the decision making processes about appropriate content of the site, including what user interests are deemed appropriate.
Everyone concerned about their privacy should read this.
Geez, LJ... this new "feature" doesn't sound good to me. It's more a means of spying on people than anything else. And the fact that it's turned on by default and you have to shut it down by yourself is just... evil. I'm sure 98% of LJ users have no idea about this and might never find out. "New Explore Area" my ass. "1984 Area", more like >:|

Before I report some more stuff from the Who/Kai category, I'll do last week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive because I couldn't really relate to this week's questions.

01. What types of portable audio devices do you use?
Jack, my black sixth generation 80 GB iPod Classic. I love him so much =)

02. What format of music do you listen to most often?
Apart from the .mp4s I buy at iTunes, I usually convert everything to mp3.

03. How do you get your electronic music files? (pay service [i.e Napster, iTunes, eMusic, etc.], file sharing, artist/label web sites, etc.)
iTunes, rips from my own CDs, file sharing.

04. What type of headphones do you use?
Sony MDR-E819V. I own two pairs, one for Jack, one for Rick (my laptop). The bass on those things is awesome! Too bad I've only ever seen them in wholesale stores.

05. What is currently on your portable music player that you are using? (Post artist, album title, please.)
Everything, actually. And believe me, you wouldn't wanna scroll through the whole list ;)

Am using Deepest Sender now.
Too bad it doesn't support crossposting. What's worse, the people behind it are not planning to implement it because they think it's mainly being used to spam people and abuse the servers. Uh... reality check, pls? =_=
Anyway.
More copy/paste, but at least, this time, it's fully integrated within Firefox (which, of course, includes the same awesome crash recovery function) and has a much nicer interface. Cold be worse ;)

Also, the latest iPhone goings on once again put me off of my iPod plans - hopefully, for a long time.
So, they cut the price by one third after just six weeks. And now, they give out $100 coupons for their own shop? Pardon my French, but that's just fuckin' insane.
The media say that this is a half-assed solution. Well, I disagree. It's not even quarter-assed.
Heck, by giving out $100 coupons, instead of apologizing to their customers who have effectively been betrayed, all they do is earn more money. Didn't it occur to them that after this, many people will never want to buy an Apple product again?
Amusing fact: Something very, very similar happened to Nintendo in the late Eighties, but that's beside the point.
I know, many of you own and love Apple things. Which is okay and I respect that. But I don't support them in the slightest, and hopefully, never will.
I'm just writing this to clarify that my opinion about them is not something like blind hate, it's the way they do things that pisses me off again and again.

Semagic got busted. Like, entirely and totally.
It crashes upon loading and even killing and re-installing doesn't help.
Tried LochJournal, but it doesn't even support tags (Okay, JournalFen doesn't either, but at least the other sites saved them tags as Semagic sent them).
So, yours truly is back to typing entries by hand. To four goddamned journals. Woo-hoo.
Actually, this isn't quite as bad as it sounds since I saved all of the "Post an entry" links into their own bookmarks folder, meaning I can open them with one click and from there, I'll simply copy'n'paste.
Still, what a waste.
BTW, I finally transferred all of my LJ icons to my JournalFen and added a few new ones. I even managed to make four TDS/TCR related icons, and then I forgot them in some folder. For like, five months *facepalm* Well, they're back now, and I'm working on a few others as well, so expect an icon post soon-ish.

Why do germans ban all the games? Let me explain.
3r0t1c n3rd accurately describes the situation in our goddamn country. Too bad his language has a tendency to be a bit sub-par ;)
[via Kotaku]
I'm up to 1x07 now. Gotta say that I watched every episode twice. For now. I expect to know them by heart in the rather nearer future O_o
Actually, I'm running out of adjectives to describe the thing (and a certain, gorgeous time-traveling alien :D~~~).
The way you get pulled into this thirty-four years old franchise and feel at home immediately is just amazing. Not to mention the fact you can't stop once you've started. Apart from [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi, who needs to get his taste fixed. But then, I wouldn't wanna have him see me while watching it (XD), so it's probably better like this.
I wish my bro wasn't too lazy to watch stuff in English. That series would be just the thing for him. Grrrr...
Also, having Chris dubbed would be the saddest thing ever, wouldn't it? Too bad I don't take on accents like [livejournal.com profile] silicondreams does, otherwise, I'd totally sound like him now. I'd never have thought a Northern accent could be this cute, but combined with a character like this, it becomes totally irresistible... to me, that is ;)
Gotta do some icons for my JF, since there's no space left on here, and in about two weeks, I'll get reduced to... what was it? 15 pics if I use the Plus feature, which I probably will.
Yeah. That's it. Nothing more to say, really. I'll treat myself to 1x08 - 1x10 tomorrow. What a nice bday pressie *lol*
Seen at [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrde:

What Your Pizza Reveals

There are no limits to your eating. You often devour the scraps your friends can't finish.

You aren't particularly picky about pizza. It's so good... how could you be? You fit in best in the Western part of the US.

You like food that's traditional and well crafted. You aren't impressed with "gourmet" foods.

You are dependable, loyal, and conservative with your choices.

You are cultured and intellectual. You should consider traveling to Vienna.

The stereotype that best fits you is stoner. You're a little wacky in the head, even if you don't touch drugs.

Message from JF staff:
Oops. I realize now, that you would get your confirmation email sooner if I actually clicked "Send" on the message, huh.

*palm-to-forehead* Sorry about that!

What cute. forgetful people. I like them *lol*
Actually, I'd already found out myself. I kept checking my userpics page, and suddenly, it said "Currently uploaded: 1 out of 500". That was my payment confirmation ;)
So. I've got a Paid Account at JournalFen now. That doesn't mean I'm abandoning this place, mind you. I'll just be doing without 100+ userpics and the fancy layouts. Which is okay. Otherwise, I'll be updating, reading and responding like always. I just felt it was an appropiate reaction to Strikethrough/Boldthrough07 and everything LJ/6A did and said.

I also spoke out on [livejournal.com profile] pay_no_more (here), just because.

In other words: OMG ugh.

Two days ago, I backed up my entrie LJ to three other services that use the LJ engine.
I used LJsec, which worked perfectly fine (see here and here for more info about how to do this).
For the time being, I'll be crossposting my entries to all four journals (look here to find out how to do this using Semagic, feel free ask me if you don't understand any of it ^^).

My backup journals are thus: are as follows:
jessybxx@IJ
jessybxx@GJ
jessybxx@JF
Creative choice of account name, eh? XD
I know they still need tweaking and profiles and user icons and such, but I'll work on that once I'm back in the country next week ^_^;;;
Feel free to friend me if you use one (or more) of those journaling sites, I'll add you back in an isntant ^_^

I'm not leaving teh ElJayz yet but since my paid account will run out in about four weeks, I'll "vote with my wallet" (as [livejournal.com profile] screwthedaisies so nicely put it) by not giving LJ/6A any more money. No wai, peepz >:|

It's scorchingly hot today and I'm supposed to leave this stuff on there for hours. Well, seems I chose the best possible day to do this. Not.
Considering the circumstances (the fact I've never dyed my hair myself, that I'm dead clumsy and terribly short-sighted), I think I did it rather well. I'll need to do a few things a bit differently next time (a bit more fluid into the henna, also, a bit more hanna cuz 100 grams cut thigns awfully close) but voerall, I'm kinda satisfied with my performance *lol*
However, I don't even wanna begin thinking of all the ways in which this could still go wrong O_O
