If you're following me on Twitter, you already know that the "Spring Heeled Jack" DVD is finally done and can be ordered on the website (10€ + 1,50€ for shipping).
Right now, I'm wiating for them to send me details about where to send the payment, and then it's hoping German mail will do their job properly for once :P

Here's the trailer!
Like the whole show, it has LOTS and LOTS of Kai (did I mention LOTS of Kai?) XD

I felt like recording me playing with my boy. For a second try, it turned out quite alright ^_^

Isn't he adorable? <3

Started watching "Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger" even though it's not completely subbed yet. Oops ^_^;;;
Love the wild animal theme, the claws and the theme song. It just fits the series sooo perfectly <3
Well, I thought I'd annoy everyone with it (and not just [profile] silicondreams). Unfortunately, all the OP clips on YouTube are of a rather bad quality so I decided to cut a better version from one of SkewedS's wonderful subs.

Useless technical information: This was cut using Avidemux becasue VirtualDub can't handle .mp4 files without extracting them first.

Enjoy... well, maybe not XD

I also bumped into this blog which is the biggest resource of Super Sentai images I've ever seen. I really need to raid their whole archive ;)

Just started listening to the new Stratovarius album "Polaris".
Wow, I actually recognize the band again! For their self-titled 2005 album, they had changed into something weird I didn't feel comfortable with at all.
If you ask me, leaving was the best thing Tolkki could have done for Koti and the others. Now, they can be themselves and once again create wonderful Power Metal ^_^
So far, the new CD sounds really good. It's certainly much more like "classic" Strato, with lots of giutar/key solos and Timo singing the way he's supposed to sing.
Awesome. Missed you, guys <3 One day, I'll SO catch a gig of yours, also to check out how short your vocalist REALLY is *lol*

Something cute before I venture out to dinner at the Chinese restaurant.
I saw Tenchi was lying at one of his favourite spots, looking cuddly, and sicne the lgiht was good, I decided to test out the K850i videor ecording capabilities.
Enjoy, mew ^^ *purrs*

I love how he's trying to touch the camera phone at 0:41... my boy... he's the most precious thing in the world... <3

Seeing how decent this turned out, I might be taking more videos of the two in the future :D

"Jumon kourin ~Magical force~" is one of the catchiest songs I've heard recently.

(Lyrics!)

Magiranger is special, even among other Sentai series. Everything about it is just perfect. I doubt any of the other shows will steal its top place in my fave list. Never <3

Just one happy today, but it's a really special one, so I put it up on my YouTube account for all to see.

Engine Sentai Go-Onger doing a roll call without helmets. This is of course from the final episode!

(No, I didn't cry during that episode. Not at all. Me? Never ^_^;;;)
Also, all of the Engines' voice actors had cameo appearances (this time as real people) in there. Awwww ^^

Okay, that's the final proof.
I must have "slasher" written on my forehead.
Why?
Well, guess who just sent me this link?
*lol*
Alrighty.
I managed to grab digital versions of all dubbed episodes of Doctor Who season 2 that have been aired so far (1-4).
And now, I present you a clip of Kai doing K-9 :D

First of all, here is the file (right-click and "save as") [.avi, 4.68 MB].

Original dialogue
(With Noel Clarke as Mickey Smith and John Leeson as the voice of K-9)

Mickey: Come on, I need some help.
K-9: System restarting. All primary drives functioning.
Mickey: You're working. Okay. Okay, no time to explain, we need to get inside the school. Do you have, like, I don't know, a lock picking device?
K-9: We are in a car.
Mickey: Maybe a drill attachment?
K-9: We are in a car.
Mickey: Fat lot of good you are.
K-9: We are in a car.
Mickey: Wait a second. We're in a car. Get back!

Dubbed dialogue
(With Johannes Raspe as Mickey Smith and Kai Taschner as the voice of K-9)

... Jesus Christ. So cute :x
After the report, it's my turn. Here we go, have some goodies!

Seven pics. most of them rather bad )

I even managed to record a little video. Here it is!

Second half of "Heavy Metal Universe", including the sing-along part and Kai jumping off the drum kit platform. Sorry, I know, the sound is really bad, but my little N73 couldn't handle the volume. But I like the picture, considering it's just a cellphone.

Also, some not-quite-so-good DVD news:
Last weekend Kai and Dirk had a meeting during a concert day with SPV Records and agreed that the DVD will finally released in autumn this year.

Today the show in Barcelona will be filmed and the DVD will now be released as a triple DVD set. The content of the first two discs is already fixed since several months (Montreal Show plus bonus footage like road movie, acoustic tracks and video clips etc.). The third disc will contain many songs from the Barcelona show and probably some more bonus backstage footage from the actual tour. It will depend on the quality of the material which will be filmed today if the show will be completely released on DVD or only a part of it.

More official information will be announced soon in our news.

Olli

Okay, I like triple DVD sets. But autumn? AUTUMN? Hello?!
How long have we been waiting for this thing? Since 2006? 2005? I forgot. Because the waiting HURTS >:|
And "autumn this year" still isn't a definitive release date, so who knows what might happen in between?
Dammit.... *mumbles*

Finally, the Agglutination DVD is out! And guess who the two people on this picture are? It's even featured on the web site's front page O_O
[livejournal.com profile] silicondreams is getting the DVD for us cuz I have no idea how it works. Scaaary Italian site ;)
Can't wait to show it to all the people I know, going "See, that's us! We were really there! Look, now they're at it again! They're so doing...".
Er... Yeah ^_^;;;
It'll be cool to experience all the awesome moments again... and maybe even laugh about the bad ones, safely snuggled on the couch instead of squashed against... okay, okay, I'm not describing that again *shudders*
Anyway, yay DVD ^_____^

In about two hours, we'll be off to celebrate Christmas Eve at my family's.
Until then, there are still a few things left to be done (e.g. Having to check my village and see what the animals are up to today. One advice: Don't even start "Animal Crossing" if you don't know what you're getting yourself into *lol*).
Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas.
I'm leaving you with this lil' video. Enjoy and see you... uh... some time between now and New Year's Eve? XD
"Carry me over" will be the second single from the upcoming new Avantasia album "The Scarecrow".
Well, we knew that already.
But today, I got a newsletter from Nuclear Blast that had a link to the full video clip.
Click here to see it (it's on MySpaceTV).
My god. I love this song. It's beautiful. And - I know it's old news, but... seeing Tobi playing the bass is so. Damn. Hot.

Apart from the vid, [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrde also posted a link to a new audio interview with Tobi.
Get it here (I suggest using right-click and "save as").
As [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrde said, the volume is really low. My tip: Get GoldWave and boost it up by a few hundred percent. Also, converting it to mp3 might make sense for various reasons ;)

Tomorrow's gonna be a good day fer sure.
Our fave chain of wholesale stores is running another 20% off sale on non-food things. That's how we got our PS3 ^^
So, this time, [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi and me will get ourselves some games.
He's planning to pick up "Assassin's Creed" (PS3) and I want "Animal Crossing" for the DS. I've heard so many good things about this game, it has to be amazing.
I just hope they have both of them in stock *prays*

Enjoy!

We're such dorks :D
It happened again!
This time, they didn't have the video on Motherload so I cut it from the show myself and converted it to FLV. This is my first selfmade FLV and it loooks quite good, dontcha think? :3
Since the LJ people apparently don't let you embed videos that aren't on Photobucket or YouTube, I'll have to provide you with the link to the corresponding post on my German blog.

Der kleine Eisbär ;)

(BTW, the video was made using VirtualDub to cut it and Riva FLV encoder. It was uploaded to and streams directly from my own server.)

Enjoy ^_^

In case you haven't seen it yet!

"‘Oh, his eyes look like little buttons!!"
So cute ^^

I think you know why I'm posting this.
For some reason, I still can't get over that "German accent". If you have ever ehard a German speak English, you know it's nothing like this.
But it's funny ;)

And...
... Stephen is so hot.
Ahem.
A BBC documentary about that scary and menacing beast called Intelligent Design can be found over at Google Video.

How can you agree to this and call yourself a scientist?
How can anyone in their right mind call this crap a legitimate theory?
Well, maybe the answer lies within the question here...

I do hope this file will still be up tomorrow. Y'know, what with Google having taken over YouTube and deleting all the illegal stuff...
Anyway:

Heh.
Now this is interesting.
A few weeks ago, Borat was on a late night show in Germany. And the host of that one was COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY helpless.
Jon, on the other side... does quite a good job.
Well, that just shows who's the good host and who isn't >:D

The way Borat looks at Jon when he tells him he's a Jew... just priceless ^_^;;;
"You have had your horns removed" - "They're under my hair". That's both *lol* and *awww* ^^

Would you please excuse me now while I have said host for a very late night early morning snack :D~~~~

First, some similarities between Boffle and MPFC I discovered (mainly from watching only the first episode and a handful of random clips):

- The mix of quite intellectual and really clever stuff with absolute, mind-rippling nonsense (Their vox pops, where they only show the weird answers and you have NO IDEA what they're on about are just pricelss!)
- Their use of links ("We need someone to go through that door" - which leads to the next sketch)
- The sudden going out of character ("I can end this sketch in forty-five seconds")
- And, not to be taken that seriously, the fact that Stephen Fry is almost as good at shouting (complete with cracking of voice) as John Cleese *lol*

--------------------------------

Now, some YouTube links:

Barman
That one nearly killed me. Seriously. Their timing is brilliant.

Censored
From episode one. "And then the sketch ends with us going to bed together" - "..... violently." *snort* Though I know a couple of fics that beat them to the punchline on this one, hehe ;)

(No title)
I wonder why people keep remarking upon the Python similarities. I doubt they were EVER trying to hide it ;)

Major Donaldson
Speaking of obvious. Hugh's German accent is bad as always, but OMFG teh slash. It's almost as if Stephen were out of character in this one from a certain point on. Hey, you can dream, can you? XD

My Dear Boy
This one is almost too much. Gay men playing gay men (especially that... type O_o) always scares me a bit. But it's still hilarious.

Monday: Hugh Laurie. Wheeee~!
Friday: Stephen Fry (... on US TV. Dun get it, but that's damn cool!)
I just found ot that El Jay actually supports embedded FLV videos (FLV = Flash Video, the file format used by YouTube and such). Yayness!
And I decided to try it.
This is a very beautiful V for Vendetta fan video set to a song we all know and love - "Nemo" by Nightwish.
Hope the code works. If it does, I'm afraid you'll have to expect more vids from me in the futue ;)
Fans of the movie - enjoy ^_^
Important: The video contains a lot of crucial scenes so don't watch it if you haven't seen V yet but intend to do so at some point. You have been warned!
(FYI: Length is about five minutes, the size of the file is 12 MB)

Oh wow *wipes eyes*

... and to think that it's quite possible for most of such videos to be gone soon since Google owns YouTube now and seems to be raiding the site for copyrighted material... makes me fucking angry. Argh!!

V is just amazing. I particularly like his introductory speech:
Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

O_O

In German, the "using as many V words as possible" thing doesn't work since we hardly have any. So they only made his way of expression totally elaborate. Which, of course, kills most of the appeal.
I also find it extremely funny that Wikiquote included a version of the speech that was translated into "simpler words". So this is a bit hard to understand even for native speakers?

But AW! Hugo Weaving has such a beautiful voice. It's amazing how much feeling he puts into his acting even though his face is hidden behind a mask the whole damn time. Crush? Who, me? XD

BTW, like my cooking icon? I love those scenes, both the V and the Gordon one. They're really cute, each in its own little way ^_^
