I think this easily qualifies for "Most obscure album of the year".

Puncolle ~Voice Actresses' Legendary Punk Songs Collection ~

I swear I'm not kidding - It's a CD full of seiyuu-kawaiified Punk classics!
If you ever wanted to hear a chibi choir going "Sex... and violence"... No wait, I don't think anyone would want to hear that XDDDD
Anyway.
Even though it's only 400x400 px big, I put the cover under a cut because...

... because... )

Now, for those of you who actually want to torture themselves by listening to the CD; the original torrent is here.
I also threw the thing onto Megaupload here.

Enjoy... or not ^_~

This entry was brought to you by my -M-/Mathieu Chédid/weird music icon :D

Wind (one of the important people on Nigihana) replied to my thread (the one where I posted the link to my upload of ENSON Vol. 2)
Although I had originally thought very little of this considering how very songs I knew on this album, I still picked it up and gave it a whirl.

I need to start a new paragraph for this: The covers of "Sora-iro Days" and "God Knows..." are absolutely brilliant. they capture if not surpass the original awesomeness of the songs and make it into something awesome. If for nothing else, give the album a listen for that matter.

How cool is that? I actually managed to impress him ^_^
He even took my upload and turned into an official release O.o
I know because even though he packed it in a .rar instead of a .zip file, changed the track names and added another file, the unpacked sizes of the files are EXACTLY the same, as is the .jpg of the cover I added. Heh.
Epic win? XD
- Finished my new blog layout in record time. And it turned out really nice, if you ask me =)

- Finally grabbed "Enson Vol. 2". Remember? I talked about it here and here. And since I already romanized the tracklist, the fact that the files I got were all in kana didn't matter at all *proud of herself*

I also added some claims to my profile. Have a look at the stuff (in the "omake" section), it's really amusing XD

ETA: I uploaded ENSON Vol .2 for the Nigihana community. Click here (Megaupload link)!

Remember me telling you about "Enson Vol. 2"?
Well, I noticed Neowing has the tracklist now, so I decided to romanize* it!

01 Eternal blaze (Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's)
02 Uninstall (Bokurano)
03 Sora-iro days (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)
04 Yuzurenai negai (Magic Knight Rayearth)
05 Tori no uta (Air)
06 Kinnikuman go fight! (Kinnikuman)
07 Go tight! (Sousei no Aquarion)
08 Yatsura no ashioto no ballad (Hajime Ningen Gyatoruz)
09 God knows... (SUZUMIYA Haruhi no Yuutsu)
10 Ultra Seven no uta (Ultra Seven)
11 Sketch switch (Hidamari Sketch)
12 Ginga tetsudou 999 (Ginga Tetsudou 999)
13 Good-bye to yesterday (Masou Kishin Cybuster)

Wow, this sounds awesome. I'm especially looking forward to hearing En-chan's versions of "Uninstall" and "God knows...". And I can already hear him singing "Yuzurenai negai" in my head. Eeeee <3

* In my case, romanizing means using my limited knowledge of Japanese and my decent Google-fu to find out the titles of the songs and series ;)
Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrde :D

1) Have your music library ready.
2) Choose one song from your music library whose title starts with the first letter (or number) of your screen name.
3) Repeat this process with each successive letter (or number) in your screen name until you run out of letters (or numbers).
4) Post up your results.
5) BONUS POINTS: Upload your mix (whether it's individual songs or a .zip of all the songs) and include the mix in your post.
6) MORE BONUS POINTS: Add the line around the 1:10 mark of at least five songs.

So, now, you too can explore the horrifying world that is my music taste XD As you can see, it is all over the place, like it's always been...

(J) Judas at the opera - Edguy [Superheroes EP]
(E) Everlasting song [Japanese edition) - FictionJunction ASUKA [Erementar Gerad]
(S) Spirit of the night - Daniel (SEB 188]
(S) Sign of the cross - Avantasia [The Metal Opera Part 1]
(Y) You only tell me you love me when you're drunk - Pet Shop Boys [Drunk single]

(B) Before dawn daybreak - fripSide [Split Tears]

And, because I just can't seem to get enough, I did the same with what's officially become my second nickname:

(Q) Question at me - HAYASHIBARA Megumi [Fuwari]
(U) Upstairs - Wolfsheim [Dreaming Apes]
(E) Eagle - Gamma Ray [New World Order]
(E) Edge - access [Best selection]
(N) Nur einen Kuss - die ärzte [Jazz ist anders]

(O) Out of the dark - Falco [Out of the Dark (Into the Light)]
(F) Fallen to pieces - Helloween [Gambling with the Devil]

(G) Gas gas gas - Manuel [SEB 181]
(E) Egao - WADA Koji [Digimon]
(E) Escapist - Nightwish [Bye bye Beautiful single]
(K) Kimi ga tame - Suara [Utawarerumono]
(S) Sprial galaxy - HAMADA Mari [Reflection ~Axiom of the two Wings~]

Ah, that was fun. Actually, I could've easily posted two songs per letter. Maybe I'll re-do this thing some day...
Anywho. Downloads. I've put all the songs in one file because I'm a lazy bum. You can grab it here (right click + "save as") (.zip/86.8 MB, all songs in .mp3/128 kbps).
If anyone just wants any one of the songs without having to get the whole archive, just tell me. I'll gladly upload it for you!

... No, I'm not doing the 1:10 mark thing. Even I am not that crazy ^_~

PS: Be glad I spared you "Belleville rendez-vous". And that's just because I forgot :P

Today, I was browsing the Lantis website just for shits and giggles, when I stumbled upon this.
A second Enson album? Yep.
According to CDJapan, it'll be out on December 17.
Wow, that's great. I really adore the first one, and I hope the selection of songs on the second volume will be just as good.

Okay, this is my first ever poll - ain't you excited? Well, probably not ;)
Thing is, I've made four icons with the same theme (the HATSUNE Miku "Black Rock Shooter" music video - I'll explain later... probably XD). And since I like them all and I only want to actually use one, I'll let you pick ;P
(The other ones will certainly be posted to my upcoming LJ icons site, though.)

I just noticed that there are two rather interesting anime/Jpop cover albums being released tomorrow:

Masami Okui 15th Anniversary Tribute Album / Tribute to Masami Okui - Buddy
Ever After - Chihiro Yonekura (anime cover album)

Niiiiice stuff, I'm sure of it :D
And while I'm waiting for those, I'll have fun with this one ^^

Why is it that, when you order something, the more you want it, the bigger the chance of something going wrong?
Those stupid online shop people. I'm so gonna kill them if the stuff I ordered doesn't arrive tomorrow (or on Thursday, at the very latest). Dammit to hell.
(And no, I'm not telling you what it is until I actually have it ;P)

TAMAKI Nami's new album rocks so hard it's scary. I was really worried because of the horrific hiphop video she released a few days ago ("Gokigendaze ~Nothing but something~!"). But apparently, it wasn't exactly a preview of how the rest of the CD would be because most of it isn't R'n'B-ish at all. Instead, it's Nami the way I like her - a bit of Dance, a bit of Rock, a bit of Trance, all in a nice, catchy package. Yesh!
*chains herself to the album until further notice*
XDDD

I wanted to download KODA Kumi's discography for [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi (Personally, her music makes me run away. Fast.), but the torrent isn't seeded.

I wanted to have a look at the promo clips for Clannad (I read a short synopsis of the story and it sounded really interesting), but the scarywater tracker is down.

It's not even Friday the 13th ;)

Did I say that price was unrealistic? Well, I take it back ^_^

This is the first time I really saved some serious money using that best offer function. Usually, the sellers send back return offers that are only like, 30 cents below the BIN price. To me, that renders the whole thing utterly useless.
Ah well. Paid last night and now I hope he'll arrive before the weekend. Wanna cuddle my Jack =)

Hehe. I just had a look at that Spears woman's so-called performance at that awards show.
Well, I suppose it could be filed under comedy.
Too bad they didn't show more of the audience trying to keep straight faces XDD

I think "Summer night breezer", along with maybe ""Shadow over the world is the only decent song on access' new album apart from "Hitomi no tsubasa", which doesn't count cuz it'd been a single before "Binary engine" (the album) came out. Geez. whats up with ASAKURA these days?
Too bad. But then, there's still Granrodeo's "Ride on the Edge" if I want a really good Jpop/Jrock CD. That band is just amazing, period.
Why didn't anyone tell me that HAYASHIBARA Megumi has had a new single avaliable since last summer? I missed her so much and didn't even notice she's been back for so long ;_;
Anyway. Review, review :3

01 Meet again
A completely new song that celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Slayers franchise. It could have very well been written during the days of the Slayers series. It's catching and totally charming. Her vocie didn't change a bit, it's still cute to die for <3

02 Get along (Self-tag version)
Slightly modified re-make of the originals eries' opening. I love the improved backing vocals!

03 Give a reason (Ballade version)
Well, I didn't exactly have doubts about whether my favourite Slayers track (and second-fave anime song of all time) could work in ballad form. But actually haaring it is still... wow. It's simply spectacular. And you have to admit, Megumi's vocie is pretty powerful, despite the chibi edge ;)

04 Don't be discouraged
The original song, nothing new here.

05 Meet again (off vocal)
For anyone who cana ctually sing ;)

All in all, a great single, three wonderful additions to my library of Slayers tunes, and it's a shame that I overlooked when it came out =_=

This afternoon, mum came in when I was watching last night's Colbert Report (to be precise, The Wørd - "Second Opinion"). She said she wanted to watch some of it, too, so we did and I translated for her. Seems she liked it =)
I also got to tell her a bit about both shows and their relevance. Not bad!

I just listened to "Doukoku no ame" - a.k.a. the new single from Granrodeo which is close to becoming my newest Jpop obsession.
What a CD. It combines a fast and catchy main track with a spectacular power ballad as a b-side. I wonder whether they know me because it fits my wicked taste so very perfectly XD
Anyway, I highly recommend it!

Wanna see the song in action?
No prob, here it is, the actual opening sequence of Koisuru Tenshi Angelique ~Kagayaki no Asu~

Losslessone is giving away hundreds (and when I say hundreds, I mean hundreds) of CDs via DDL!
For more information, go to their IRC channel #LonE@irc.rizon.net!
If you will excuse me now...
*goes to grab, grab, GRAB!!!*
Really, they did.
Now that they released this, I don't have to get it from EDK2. Not to mention the romanizing. I mean, that might still have worked because it's a remake of a known track (Gakuen tengoku).
On the other hand, I should've expected them to do it since they released pretty much all of the Futagohime stuff so far, including the three huuuge soundtracks.
Oh well *observes DLing torrent*
Now I only have to do the new MOMOI Halko single.

€dit: Or maybe not. So the two tracks are "Saigo no ROck" (What a cool title!) and "Ushiro yubi sasaregumi". Good to know, hehe :)

Anyway. Yay for our awesome music groups \o/ _o/ \o_ \o/

Had nothing to do so here's another something for you.
I'm addicted to this song right now so I decided to spread the love.

"Lost complex" by Iceman, from the album "Digiryzm Mutation". Download! (.zip / 4.33 MB / 4:48) Lyrics!
Iceman was ASAKURA Daisuke's band. They did a couple of songs for Gravitation, the anime (for example "Sleepless beauty", one of my all-time fave anime tunes <3). He now composes mainly for T.M.Revolution.
The song is something like a cross between dance, rock and pop with a fuckin' awesome intro.
Notice the use of guitars and keyboards and the typical computer drums? If that isn't ASAKURA-like, I dunno what is.
Enjoy :D

Do you have any idea who THIS is?
To be honest, if I hadn't known, I would NEVER have believed it.
It's MOMOI Haruko.
Yes, HER. The loli/cosplay idol with the squeakiest chibi voice in the universe.
No kidding.

Wow, that's the first dress that doesn't make her look like a elementary school girl.
And the absence of her glasses helps as well.
Maybe it's also the fact that she isn't grinning for once. Hooray!

BTW, it's a scan from the booklet of her best of album "Momo-i quality". The new version of "Love.exe" kicks ass!

That meme thing took a lot more time than I'd expected.
BTW, did you see a pattern in there? Yes, that "choosing anime songs only" thingy was planned :)

Just ordered an mp3 player for mum (!).
An i.Beat cebrax.
I like the name O_o
And I'll be taking up on the job of teaching her how to use that guy :D

But on to the important news for in about four weeks, I'll be joining the lague of cat parents!
That's right, Yama and I will be adopting two baby cats from one of his co-workers ^_^
*squees*
More about that once it's really happened.

Apart from that... utter House madness O_o
Gosh, Hugh is SO HOT IT HURTS. And his character must be one of the most fascinating ones ever created.
I'm only up to episode eight but at least I got further insight into the "original VS dub" matter. And I have to once again praise the Germans. Voice actor performances aside, the translation is amazingly faithful to the US script. That's not always the case and it's good that they did such a good job for such an astounding series. BTW, the German airing time has changed again, this time from 10:15 PM to 9:15. It seems that House is kinda popular so they're moving it gradually forward. It's now airing right after CSI Miami!

Okay, enough nonsense for today, gone to cut some CDs and maybe listen to the new album my TAMAKI Nami <3
C ya!
