jessybxx: (Qi - Stephen Fry (Oh bother))
( Oct. 5th, 2008 04:19 pm)
So, Qi will be moved to BBC One after all. It sure is a good thing, but that also means we'll ahve to wait until 2009 to see the new series ;_;

Also, I'm just watching my trusty AVGN playlist (all 56 episodes in chronological order) and this one Zelda joke is so stupid, I just have to post it:
Q: What did Zelda tell Link when he couldn't unlock the door?
A: Triforce.

XDDDD

About three hours left on my eBay auctions and it's still looking really good ^_^
- Finding a specimen of those at 6.66€
- The arrival of this
- The fact that Camp LOLcat (Our little 3-piece Wacken group) will be complete in 2009 as well!!!
- Soulbro telling me he expects my NaNo novel to sell millions of copies (So silly but soooo sweeeeet) XD
- [livejournal.com profile] silicondreams signing up, too (Yeah, I have three writing buddies now <3)
- Roasted chicken in the oven :D~~~
- #nipponsei releasing five OSTs they skipped so far

Look at these! Aren't they lovely?
OMG OMG OMG they're perfect! Exactly what I'm looking for. And you can choose the design you want, even combine them if you feel like it! Eeeee!!!
I'll order one as soon as I know how well (or badly) my current auctions have ended.
Her English is... well... German standard, I s'ppose ;)
Still.... d'awwww :x
I think I want the one with the pink inlay and maybe the white ribbons... dunno yet, though... (accepting suggestions... maybe *lol*)

Also, how do you like my new icon? It was made here. Try it out, it's pretty neat ^^
(Thanks to the lovely people from Hörspiel-Scene for bringing that wonderful site to my attention! Yasee, suddenly, amost every forum member over there had similar looking avatars. And, needless to say, nosey Jessy wanted to know where they got them from ^_~)
Pokémon FireRed (GBA) + game guide - 6.50€
Pokémon Emerald (GBA) + game guide - 7.02€
Pokémon Pearl (DS) - 8.50€

Deducting eBay fees, that's a final gain of 20,26€ (about $29). Could've been much worse.

This time, I'm getting rid of my Pokémon games:

Pokémon FireRed (GBA) + strategy guide
Pokémon Emerald (GBA) + strategy guide
Pokémon Pearl (DS)

I'm selling the GBA ones because I know I'll never finish them anyway and the DS one because I can just play the rom on my M3 Simply module and don't need the "real" game anyway. However, I kept the Diamond/Pearl strategy guides (Yes, it's actually a set of two huge books) because I do plan on eventually finisheshing that one. Also, those books are just too ginormous cool to give away =)

First of all, a little David picspam (stolen from the German Whoboard)!

Awwwwww <3

Today, the first part of the "Doctor Who" season 2 finale "Army of Ghosts" (called "Die Armee der Geister" in German, again, an entirely literal translation) will air on German TV. Can't wait to see. I mean, the team that dubbed this series has got to be one of the best ones in the history of German television. BTW - I actually got to know the sound engineer when I visited the Scalamedia studios with Kai earlier this month, and he's a very cute and nice (and also surprisingly young) guy.
So, let's see what they did with some of the saddest moments I've ever witnessed in a series. Like always, I'm not scared in the slightest because everything else so far has been breathtakingly good ^^

Finally, the biddings on my eBay auctions ahve started moving. Come on, people, I need the money for November XDD

Yesterday and today I got some clothes I ordered on the 'net. Nice stuff, and not at all expensive. Wanna see?

I CAN HAS CLOTHSES? )

I'd love to show you my recent eBay purchases as well, but I'm afraid they might make LJ crash. It's just too much ^_^;;;

( Aug. 14th, 2008 10:06 pm)
Went to the vet today because Jiro has a weird bald spot on his tail.
Apparently, it's nothing dangerous, but we left them some hair to check anyway.
Of course, Tenchi was happy because he didn't have to leave the basket at all until we got back home *lol*

I started selling another heap of things on eBay. I totally need money for November ;)

C74 has started, so I expect a gazillion weird CDs to show up on tokyotoshokan. I'll be listening to JAM Project until then ^^

My Birth Month:
AUGUST:

Loves to joke. Attractive. Suave and caring. Brave and fearless. Firm and has leadership qualities. Knows how to console others. Too generous and egoistic. Takes high pride in oneself. Thirsty for praises. Extraordinary spirit. Easily angered. Angry when provoked. Easily jealous. Observant. Careful and cautious. Thinks quickly. Independent thoughts. Loves to lead and to be led. Loves to dream. Talented in the arts, music and defense. Sensitive but not petty. Poor resistance against illnesses. Learns to relax. Hasty and trusty. Romantic. Loving and caring. Loves to make friends.

All twelve months... )

Also, my DÄ shirt sold for 11 Euros, which is more or less what I expected. Nice! Now I can buy some more stuff for myself *cough* ^_^;;;
... here.
Yes, that is Kan-chan. But who the hell needs three laptops?!
I just hope whoever wins the auction will give him a nice new home ;_;
Anyway. Wish me luck? ^^

(Also: Updated my Meez, and therefore my default LJ icon as well. Hope you like!)

This week sucks. Big time. Pls to be over nao?

- My cold is almost gone. [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi has it now ;_;

- Nino (our uber awesome Java teacher) got other people to teach the exercise groups. I think now he's only doing the lecture itself. Nooooo *sobs*

- Missed the bus on Wednesday which caused Cathi and me to get stuck amidst 130 high school kids who were on a field trip to the university. Apparently, their teachers had had the wonderful idea of sending them to lunch all at once. Morons.

- Missed the bus again today. Thankfully, this time, that only meant a 20-minute walk home with considerably nice music.

- That guy on eBay sent me the wrong item. And getting it replaced won't make sense, money-wise. Crap crap crappity crap crap!!

- I'm worried sick for not getting my new laptop today after all. I dunno, they did say they'll have it by the end of the week, but I still have a terribly bad feeling.

Now excuse me while I play a session of You don't know Jack 3. Or two. Or three. Or...

I hate me.

Well, at least it's not an ear pod. [/stupid Doctor Who reference]
But the price is just too good. It's Archos kinda good, actually. 80 GB for less than 250 bucks, that's almost incredible. ;_;
Also, I read they improved the outer shell so the things don't get scratched that easily.
This also means I'll have to sell Three.
Him and the moolah from my PS2 will very likely compensate for the iPod.
Anyway.
I'm kinda happy now.
Tomorrow, I'll hopefully be able to take a look at one of them in the store. Haven't seen the new iPods yet, apart from pics and videos on the 'net. Can't wait to touch one and go "A friend of yours is gonna be mine soon". Yea, I'm hopeless =)

BTW, I don't have him yet but he's already got a name. It's not the one I mentioned a few weeks ago. I found a better one. You'll see once I get him.

... oh.
I just noticed that I have no idea how to use iTunes *lol*
Well, maybe it's not so bad that I'll have to wait almost a fortnight to get the guy. Plenty of time to practice XD

[livejournal.com profile] yamasagis PS2 auction ended last night at 7. The final price was an astounding 351,99€, which even surprised me who had been very much optimistic about the whole thing. However, [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi was utterly taken aback. He'd told me he'd be happy with getting 140 Euros when the price was at that level the day before. Well, I thought it'd be about 200 Euros, maybe a bit more. But 350? Madness.

Our phone started ringing mere seconds after the auction had ended. Of course, it was mum who had watched the thing happen, the sneaky thing *lol*
However, like always, she didn't miss her chance of diminishing our feelings of victory. "Selling off your entire household now, are you?", that's what she said. Yeah, sure. Because game systems and games we don't play are totally vital items of survival. Gee... =_=

Also, my auction is live now. See it here. I got the first watcher within the first three minutes, there's three of 'em right now, but no bids so far. Still, looking good. And hey, I got the better games, so hopefully, people will be drawn to that rather than my old-ish console XD

We also re-added some of the cables. Check here to take a look at 'em.

On the "buying" side, I'm waiting for answers concerning two Nightmare before Christmas-related thingies. I sued the "best offer" option on both of them but heven't heard back from the sellers yet.
The first one is just a small set of buttons. The other one is this.
Huge (18" / 46 cm!), new, sealed plushy Jack Skellington. OMG look at him! He. Is. So. Adorable. WANT.
I offered 20 Euros, which is not exactly realistic, but I hope she'll offer to lower the initial price by two Euros or something. Pls?
Actually, I'll take him, no matter what the suggested price will be. He usually goes for more, so it's still a bargain.

I also found this guy selling Doctor Who buttons with free international shipping.
Yeah, I know, I swore I'd never use PayPal again (BTW, that is the real reason for wanting to get a credit card - avoiding the big bad PP). But... eh. Gotta think about it.
jessybxx: (Over the Hedge - RJ (Ring Leader))
( Sep. 3rd, 2007 12:24 am)
Right now, we're selling one of our PS2s on eBay. It's here. It's also got the SingStar stuff, the dance mats and three (!) cheating devices. OMG. Huge package, huh?
The other one (mine) plus another 25 games will go on sale the moment the first auction ends (Sunday at 7 PM). It doesn't have that many extras, but the games are slightly better.
Hopefully, we'll get good prices for all that stuff. [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi wants to buy new PS3 games (and his beloved Dalek) and me... I'll prolly grab some clothes, maybe the HDD I've been wanting for ages. We'll see. Keep your fingers crossed, 'kay? ^_^

I also borrowed [livejournal.com profile] yamasagis credit card and ordered a bit of Doctor Who merch at amazon UK.
The stuff has been shipped today and should arrive at the end of the week.
I won't be telling you what it is until I got it. However, I give you a hint: It's two gadgets and one figure, and no, no Doctor among it. There's hardly any of them available online anyway.
Anywho. Will post pics once I got the stuff :D

Getting back to the "converted [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi to Doctor Who" topic... I'm still a wee bit surprised I got him that easily. During the episode, he was like "Awesome" and "The Dalek rocks" a couple of times. Cool *beams*
But then, the thing is done in a way that it has to attract anyone who has even a vague interest in scifi and dramatic stuff. Just... powerful. Yeah.
Well, I guess I have to thank the actors and especially the writers. The job they did on the new series is just too amazing.
Russell T Davies is my absolute hero <3

[livejournal.com profile] yamasagi bought "Warhawk" last week. It's sort of a first-person shooter, but with additional features, like being able to drive any vehicle and fly any ship standing around. Plus, with PS3 graphics, it looks really good. He's been playing it quite a lot because he could hardly do anything against the more experienced gamers. He's getting quite good, too bad the console seems to be pretty sensitive when it comes to (natural) instabilities of the DSL line :(

Awesome: A Bittorrent client that can do a forced hash-check. >µTorrent = total love <3

Not so awesome: Some guy I really respect writing a review of the Simpsons movie and getting one third of the (American) voice actors' names wrong. Jeez...

Totally un-awesome: German censors destroying "The Darkness". We'll be getting the Austrian version now, which apparently remained as it is. Phew.

BTW, I found the source of my anti-aliasing problem. It seems that Windows Vista denies the function to applications other than the Windows Media Player. Holy... O_o

Finally... Who wants a PAL PS2 with controller, some extras (remote, base) and a few games (still need to decide which)? It's three and a half years old, hardly used and in brillliant condition! It's name is Mabo-chan.
Nobody? Yeah, well, thought as much ;)
We'll probably be putting my old machine onto eBay since we obviously have no need for three of 'em (counting the PS3).

I recently discovered this shop on eBay. They print bags with costum logos.
Well, I wanted a bigger one anyway so I gave them two image fiels and asked whether they could put that particular logo on a bag for me.
The woman running the shop said sure thing, so I ordered.
When the finished item came in the mail, I was kinda impressed.
Even I didn't expect the thing to turn out this good...

Woah Oo )

Also, happy tenth anniversary to everyone's favourite satirical, scandal-inducing cartoon - South Park!!
MTV Germany (They've had the rights to the series for a couple of years now) ran a countdown of the ten best episodes, as voted by users on their website.
"Woodland Critter Christmas" came fifth. I'd never seen it before but I think I now have a favourite episode. Stan refusing to do what the narrator says and the two arguing half the episode? Awesome, especially considering the narrator was played by that (un)fortunate audio crush of mine. I'm sure they had one helluva time dubbing that thing XD

On the other ahnd, I still don't have the slightest idea what to think about "Good Times with Weapons". Sure, the "Americans don't care about violence as long as there'S sex and nudity to ban" message of the episode was just brilliant. But the anime references? It just yelled "Japanese animation = Mindless violence" at me. Maybe I'm totally mistaken here, but I dunno really. Sometimes, I just get pissed when stuff I love gets parodied and I can't quite see the intention. I guess it's one of my more severe character flaws.
Mum fell (Awww, poor mum *cuddles) and damaged her precious 6131. Luckily, it seems to be the cover only so I researched some new ones for her on eBay ^_^

Also: People complaining about Nokia data cables being difficult to plug in? That's like complaining about milk being white ;)

We just finished creating a shitload of eBay auctions.
It's mainly books but also [livejournal.com profile] yamasagis second and largely unused phone and a few tech things.
They're running on my account since I got more feedback points ^_~
Let's hope the crap sells well! *hopes*
