This week, once again, technology, no matter how much I love it, keeps kicking me in the face.
First, I nearly lost Max after the car journey home last night.
Second, the smartcard programmer I bought (that was the risky thing, BTW) seems to work but the card seems to be busted. So I dropped it into the mail tonight to have Yama get it replaced. Meh =_=
Third, Semagic stopped working. All of a sudden. Even re-installing didn't help. It just freezes during authentication. So I'm using the web interface right now. I'll look for another client later. I know there's more than just one...
Halle-fuckin'-lujah.

On the bright side: I brought tons of delicious music and videos back from Yama's.
I'm gonna miss DL windows looking like this:

Well, can't be helped. At least I made good use of the time I had on 16 Mbit (and of my HDD space :D).
...
I... er... think I need to burn some DVDs *lol*

And Megaupload obviously needs some German lessons:

O_o

I guess it's just Mäxchen being stoopid XD
Oh well, I found something else that's even better than Semagic so I don't mind ^^

Because I'm nosey.

So...what does "bitte warten 39 sekunden" translate to, then? Or is it just really broken? XD

Speaking of which. You LIVE in Germany, right? You ARE German. So why are all your entries in english and etc.? Like, do you actually SPEAK English more than you do German or...help a brotha out here. My kingdom to understand the bilingual world. v_v

Re: Because I'm nosey.

It's just screwed up, grammatically. That's all ;)

Well, there are a number of reasons why my entries are in English. First, I love the language. Lots. More than my own, actually.
Second, I made tons of friends all over the world who don't understand German.
And then, and this is probably the most important point, it's just fun to write in English. I mean, I do have a German blog, too, and I update that one a lot, but there are some things you just can't do in that language.
So I'm happy with both =)

Hah. That's kinda funny. Because english annoys me sometimes and the things I'd give to be able to speak a European language, you know? ((my parents never bothered to teach me. And I KNOW they talk shit behind my back. >_>))

Well anyway, thanks for the explaination. W00t, I understand now. =D

because these things interest me :) (and because I'm nosy too)

As a fellow bilingual I salute your curiosity! It's a weird world. I too write all my entries in English - hell, lately all I write is in English. That's mostly because most of my online friends are born-English speakers or bilingual like me. I have only one Italian on my flist - the others wouldn't understand a thing! In fact it was quite amusing when our Jessy was here this summer - a German and an Italian both speaking in English to each other! (but other than that, I speak my mother language IRL. Probably because next to nobody understands it here *grumble*)

It's easier. It's a language that gives you tons of options and quite the colorful expressions. And gives you the chance to make (and stay in contact with) great friends. And to chat with rockstars. XD

Ah hahaha, usually Italians are too stubborn to even bother learning English. In my experiance, anyway. XD God forbid my grandparents speak a word of English to me so that I know what the hell they're saying. XD

But I see, I see. For the sake of having your friends understand you. XD And I guess some things can't be properly expressed in some languages as they can in others, eh? =D

Oh god, truer words were never spoken! It's not even a "everybody should speak MY language" thing like the French, it's more of a "...wait, there are OTHER languages? What are they going to come up next?" attitude that drives me insane.

As for the things that can be expressed only in some languages...WORD. The most difficult thing of being bilingual is when you want to say something, it's intelligent and witty and funny - and there is absolutely no translation for it in your language. Or in the other one, dammit. ;)

LMAO!! ♥ for that. It's funny 'cause it's true. XD

Heh, I didn't know people who spoke two languages faced such a dillemma. You wanna say something awesome, but the whole point'd get lost in translation. Boo.

Over the two years I went from "knowing English" to "being fluent", all my friends have learned that when my face goes completely blank in the middle of a conversation and I snap my fingers frantically it's because I can't find a suitable translation to something I want to say, and just go "thinking in English again, eh?" ;)
