Now both my laptops have the "CPU fan runs at maximum speed constantly" syndrome. Hoo-fuckin'-ray.
Yeah, Hikaru's got it since his last reboot. Ugh -_-
My best guess is that the last system update somehow messed up the controls since that's the only thing that's been changed for several days.
I'm not sure if I can do aynthing about this, so let's hope it doesn't stay this way...
ETA: A simple and harmless hardware reset did the trick, which means that most likely, it was just some manual lockup and not a software problem. Phew...
