Someone in #nipponsei just mentioned the term "yottabyte". I thought that was quite curious and did a Google search. I came up with a page that listed all the units of measurement from small to really large data storage capacities.
They are as follows:

kilobyte (1,024 bytes)
megabyte (1,048,576 bytes)
gigabyte (1,073,741,824 bytes)
terabyte (1,099,511,627,776 bytes)
petabyte (1,125,899,906,842,624 bytes)
exabyte (1,152,921,504,606,846,976 bytes)
zettabyte (1,180,591,620,717,411,303,424 bytes)
yottabyte (1,208,925,819,614,629,174,706,176 bytes)

The same page stated that "it would take approximately 86 trillion years to download a 1-yottabyte file, and the entire contents of the Library of Congress would consume a mere 10 terabytes. "

Additionally, someone lese (#nippponsei, again) said that "all information on the whole internet is about 1 yottabyte". Woah °_°

So much for the interesting side of IRC. Now, once more, for something rather ridiculous.

Before I completely forget it, I managed to import my old Greymatter entries into WordPress and closed my old blog (not this one, mind you :P). Now I just have to edit the CSS. Luckily, I found a nice tutorial that explains every single line of it, so I might actually be able to get that done now. Yay ^_^
