I hope everyone heard there's a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cgi movie about to hit the cinemas.
Being an original Turtles fan from the early Nineties, I couldn't ignore this, even if I wanted to.

OMG, OMG, that looks SO COOL and SO FUNNY! Love their moves in the first one and their voices in the second... Too bad this one won't be shown un-dubbed anywhere (Yay for DVD, as always!). But maybe they'll bring back the original Turtles voice actors, that's be a neat compromise indeed :D

Any other Turtles fans out there? Who was/is your favourite turtle?

And did you know that in Europe, the original series was renamed "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles"? No idea why we had to have a different word in there in the first place. Guess we're just weird *shrugs*

This movie is based on the "new" series which has been going on in the States for the past couple of years.. it is most definitely NOT the original voice actors, and it is a very different vibe than the original animated series, or even the live-action movies of the early 90s.

But I am an oldskool Turtles fan. Donatello was actually my favorite.

And, surprisingly enough, I actually *have* the German theme to TMNT as an MP3. Was it actually called "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles"? Because in the theme they never actually say "Teenage Mutant," even when they have the chance. "Hey jetzt kommt die Hero Turtles/ super staerke Hero Turtles/etc.."

Yeah, it was most certainly called that (see http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja_Turtles). No idea why they left it out of the song, but as kids, we only called it "Turtles" anyway.

I was also a Raphael fan, he was so mysterious and angsty ;)

Yeah, I just did some research myself. How completely stupid. It's awkward how Europe sometimes tends to be more strict on stuff like that than the US.

<3 i liked it as a kid - I liked Michelangelo at the time. I had two or three action figures of him I think (the basic model, and one surfing type or something) - my brothers and I also shared the full set of turtles, April, Shredder and the rat ;)

The Transformers are being/was made into a movie too - but I have no idea about the details.
