Case in point: Little, weird me BETA-ed a story today.
Okay, technically, it was spellchecking only, but I'm quite sure that this is something I can actually do.
Still... scary O_o

I felt the same way when I did that for Rick (Highway Joe) with his Blind Guardian story. I actually went online to look at what a Beta does to make sure I was doing it right. My Virgo mind wouldn't allow me to not be thorough :)

Well, *I* think that's a pretty good trait of character ;)
And that beta job actually kicked me into writing again, so it was a bloody good thing ^^

Probably because a) I'm used to being BETA-ed and b) I consider myself as pretty talentless ;)

I think even nonwriters can make excellent betas--give me someone who's had her nose in a book half her life any day.
