On Saturday (or "yesterday", as some might call it D) Yama and me watched two more movies.
Die Nacht der lebenden Loser
OMG, a German movie. Usually, German movies are utter crap (Sorry, but that is my opinion), but this one was really good, despite the terrible reviews it got.
It's about a gang of three dorky high school guys who join a Voodoo ritual and somehow turn into zombies. And they only have a little time to find out how to turn back into humans!
Okay, the humour IS kinda crude at times, but the kids these days seem to like that (Geez, I sound like someone's grandma just now O_o). They even managed to build in some really funny dialogues into it. Thumbs up for that, it could have been much, much worse! And this one also had some really loveable characters and the story was well-written, with a couple of decent twists and a nice happy end. And it starred some comedians I really like, which is always a plus =)
So what did we learn from this? Never trust the reviews, and if something sounds good to you, just try it out.
Doom
Based on the popular first person shooter.
It's a good to idea to have played the game or at least watch the movie with somebody who has played it (that's what I did). They'll be able to tell you about some of the references to the actual game.
Well, this one is nothing to change your life. But it's decent entertainment nevertheless, especially if, like me, you like the survival action/horror type of movies. And all that experiments/genetics stuff behind those monsters (or superhumans, depending on whether your soul's good or bad) was something I always appreciate. Call me dum but that's me ^_^;;;
So... four hours well spent, I guess ;)
And now... I'm gonna grab some food.
