Mainly for [livejournal.com profile] silicondreams, I guess, but maybe someone else enjoys, too ^_^
This is about yaoi so expect at least SOME graphic stuff.
I'm not putting this behind a cut for nothing, y'know?

"Keiraku no Houteishiki Level-C"

Story:
Mizuki is a male fashion model with a nice apartment. Kazuomi just had his girlfriend kick him out. Kazuomi sets out to find someone new to live with and sees Mizuki on the street. Kazuomi thinks Mizuki is cute and asks to stay with him in exchange for great sex. Mizuki thinks he is joking until they are at his apartment later that night and Kazuomi makes good on his promise.

(from ANN)

Uh... bad. Very, very bad.
Mizuki is such a whiny, girly type of character it makes you wince. Well, his name sounds more like a woman's, so it's not exactly a surprise. Still, ouch. He's what you might call the uke from hell.
What's even worse is the cast. What are all those high-class seiyuu (ISHIDA Akira, MIKI Shinichiro and what's worst, KOYASU Takehito O_o) doing in such a badly drawn and badly written piece of animation? It boggles the mind.

"Sensitive Pornograph"

Story:
Featuring two short stories, the first is about two manga writers/artists with a ten year age difference, Seiji Yamada and Sono Hanasaki and their intimate love life and problems. The second story is about the strange incidents that happen to pet-sitter Ueno when he goes to take care of a pet rabbit named Aki, who he finds out is actually a human man.

(from ANN)

Nice one.
The characters were interesting even though the drawing style was a bit strange.
I liked the wise use of super deformed and comedy stuff, but some people might think it hurts the seriousness of certain scenes.
One major complaint remans: I wish they would have toned down the sound effects a bit. I mean, all that "slurpy, slurpy" stuff being louder than the actual dialogue is one thing. But then, I have no idea where it's supposed to COME FROM. See the ending of this post for more aboput that aspect.
Somehow, the two short stories have a very fan fiction-ish feel to them. And I'm not only saying that cuz the first one could be totally reworked into something revolving around the GR/Helloween universe, IMHO ;)

"Fake"

Story:
Dee Laytner and Randy "Ryo" Maclane are two New York cops taking a needed vacation in England. Dee has very strong feelings for Ryo and wants to take this chance to advance their relationship (and if he's lucky, maybe seduce Ryo). Ryo doesn't understand his own feelings for Dee, and doesn't know if he wants to (or should) acknowledge them. Their vacation and relationship is suddenly disturbed when murders and missing person reports keep surfacing around their hotel. The only common tie the cases have is that all of the victims were Japanese or Japanese descent. Dee and Ryo have to solve the case before Ryo, who is half Japanese, becomes the next victim.

(from ANN)

Ever since I heard about yaoi anime, I wanted to watch this one. And boy am I glad I finally did.
It's light-hearted and funny. Really funny. Okay, the criminal stuff isn't THAT interesting, but it serves the whole yaoi and slapstick cause, so it's OK.
Actually, people who are not into yaoi stuff might still ejoy this just for the comedy of it. And the BL stuff is really kept to a minimum. Actually, it doesn't go any further than kissing. And somehow, that really feels appropiate here.
This one is considered a real classic, and I can but agree to that. Must-see!

"Boku no Sexual Harrassment"

Story:
Mochizuki is a young business manwho works in an office. While doing his job, his boss, Honma, comes inand starts to fondle him. Honma says that Mochizuki should be expectedto do stuff so he can climb the ladder to become a successful businessman. Mochizuki then starts to sleep with other men so he can becomesuccessful. Some men think Mochizuki is sexy, so they then forcethemselves onto Mochizuki.

(from ANN)

I fondly (or not quite fondly) call it "A tale of endless naivety".
The main feeling this three-part OVA evokes in me is the constant urge to grab Mochizuki and slap him around the face until he realizes he's not sleeping with ugly, old company bosses out of his own will. Grah.
Now this has to be the most negative take on the genre ever. Even though finally notices he loves Honma, you don't quite believe it. At least I didn't. And apart from the plot being more than just a little unrealistic, it's just so flat-out negative and depressing you want to throw your copy of it out of the window. Luckily, that's not possible with .avi files so nothing really happened apart from me constantly shaking my head at the stupidity of it all.
What's even worse is that Mochizuki sounds like he's being tortured. Always. Even after he confesses he's enjoying the stuff Honma does to him, he still acts like a tortured puppy.
Okay, this might be a Japanese thing, Y'know, all that "Turn the lights down, and don't LOOK AT ME" stuff. But after a while, people should get at least somewhat used to things. Really.

"Lesson XX"

Story:
The story of Lesson XX has a sweet feel to it. It revolves around two boys, Shizuka and Sakura who are friends at a coed boarding school. One day, Shizuka happens to notice Sakura’s sheer beauty when he dives in to take a hit from a baseball. After some mixed up thoughts of who Sakura likes, Shizuka tells him he wishes to kiss him as a joke. But Sakura doesn’t care; he still insists that the two kiss under the starry sky. After this incident, Shizuka thinks it’s best for the two to be away from each other, so as to sort out their thoughts and real feelings. A classic shounen ai/yaoi, incorporating love, misunderstanding, violence and somewhat angst with a sweet end to it.

(from ANN)

Oh well, this one is mainly harm- and completely pointless.
I guess it's rare and difficult to obtain for a reason. It's simply not noteworthy and doesn't have anything special or interesting about it.
If you ever have to decide between killing 45 minutes of time by watching this or by sitting in front of your house doing nothing, I'll gladly kick you outta the front door should you even CONSIDER having a look at this thing.
Yawn.

So now we've had gay models, gay managa artists, gay part time workers, gay cops, gay businessmen and gay students.
Not to mention three different types of censoring (the "pixelizing" type, the "make it see-through" and the "make it invisible and pretend they're girls" type).
Now while those are kind of amusing, one thing really hurts. Literally.
Sex.
I really wonder where the writers of that stuff do their research or if they do any at all. And if those things are based on the wrtiers' personal experiences, I am really sorry for them.
Though it might be fun to get all those people into one room and confront thim with something called reality.
I'd love to see the look on their faces after being confronted with the fact that things like lube do indeed exist.
Well, as I said, ouchies. Watching that as a slash reader (or rather a reader of GOOD slash) really makes you think.
But "SexHarass" really took the cake. I mean, like, fucking shit. Get this, the guys in there actually have self-lubricating asses. Believe me, I was *this* short from flinging my laptop onto the floor when I realized that.
My brain still hurts.

I also learned some language-related things. I'm putting these after the cut cuz we're done with the naughty stuff and these might be intersting for most people regardless of the topic.
For "gay", the Japanese seem to use the word "homo". Yeah, well, that's not exactly unexpected. But...
Scaringly, "normal" seems to be Japanese for "straight". And yes, I mean the English word normal. Er... that's... terrible? But it might shake some reality into people who think that just cuz the Japanese make yaoi anime and stuff, that country is gay heaven. No, it is not, on the contrary.

foobar2000 seems to be in a Bleach mood today. Three songs in less than an hour.
