'87 Helloween interview translation - part 1

So yeah, I finished it ^_^
Took me, what - four hours? - something like that. But it was pretty easy and quick, for I just played a sentence of the video, wrote down the translation, and went on. Still, I think most of it ended up being pretty okay. Some sentences do sound rather quirky, but that's just because of the usual German/English incompatibility ^_~ But it was a lot of fun =)
I decided to split the text into two parts, so here's the first one. Oh, and do me a favor don't mind my comments (the stuff in italics ^_^;;;) Actually, please DO mind them, for sometimes, they do contain some information apart from the senseless Kai fangirling ;)



Beginning (Station ID sorta thing XD)

Ingo: Helloween...
Kai: Helloween...
Michi: Helloween...
Weiki: Helloween...
Markus: Helloween
Ingo: At the Musicbox...
Kai: Musicbox...
Michi: Musicbox...
Weiki: Musicbox...
Markus: Musicbox.
Weiki: Yeah, well, you're now watching Musicbox, right, and...
[various weird mumblings from the band]
Michi: Let's go
[band moves away from the camera]
Voice from off-screen: Okay, stop, thanks

Main part

Girl interviewer: With me after a long wait, they're finally here. Markus, Michael, Kai, another Michael and Ingo of Helloween. I guess you all know them. Your LP "Keeper of the seven Keys" is doing very, very well, as I've been told. In the Media Control charts... what position? Fifteen?
Weiki: At the moment... It started at fifteen and it seems to be settling at around 22, at the moment we don't know it that well ourselves
Girl interviewer: But that's great for a new band and especially for your musical genre... Which reactions did you get from abroad? Which country reacted the strongest?
Weiki: Well, until now, the Americans and the Japanese reacted the strongest, because we signed a deal over there for six LPs. So that contract is all settled and therefore you could say that they reacted the strongest
Girl interviewer: Yeah, so are you planning to go over there and what do you think about that country America? Do you feel like you absolutely wanna get there or do you have any...
Kai: Yeah, have a look over there...
Girl interviewer: Michael is nodding
Michi: I wanna go there desperately. The weather around here is so bad all the time
Girl interviewer: The weather's bad? Yeah, right
Kai: The weather will surely be better [in America] But we'll see. We already heard a lot about America, might take a look at it
Weiki: Maybe not just the weather
Girl interviewer: Maybe the fans cheer a lot more, who knows? I heard a statement from you. I dunno who of you said that or if you said that at all. It went like "Humour is the best way to differentiate from other Heavy Metal bands". [many "yes" noises from the band] In how far does this concern you and how does this concretely show in your band, in Helloween?
Kai: It shows in such a way that we're very silly in general
Girl interviewer: I already noticed that, by the way
Kai: You're lucky that today, we're not quite in such a mood
[Awww, Kai getting cuddly <3 <3 <3 Wanna cuddle him, too T_T]
Michi: Didn't sleep that much
Kai: We're a bit tired, all that stress...
Girl interviewer: I noticed, and you're also speaking a lot lower than you probably behave on stage. Could be?
Kai: Yeah, right, yeah, right... [Kai, stop repeating yourself!!!]
Weiki(?): Rubbish!
Kai: Sorry?
Markus: I mean, If I didn't have my instrument, I'd be pretty quiet.
Girl interviewer: Yeah
Weiki: I mean, usually, a bass without an amplifier is very quiet, you don't hear it at all. And if he didn't have his bass, you wouldn't hear him at all [speaking of senseless XD]
Girl interviewer: We made a Heavy Metal poll and I already told you a bit about it, you did really well, and anyway, you...
Kai [appearing from right side off-camera]: Thank you, thank you [Where cute meets stupid]
Girl interviewer: Yeah, considering you're a new band, you're really successful. Did anything change?
Markus [interrupting her, sulking]: Only the bass player isn't! Thank you...
Girl interviewer: Yeah, I'm sorry, I forgot the bass players. But if we had made a bass player poll, I'm sure you would've been top of the rating
Weiki: Bass players are interchangeable anyway [That's mean!]
Markus: ...really?
Girl interviewer: My question was: Did anything change for you because of your success that you didn't expect to happen like this?
Weiki: Well, we're being asked a lot more stupid questions now and we don't even know how we got here and basically, well, that's how it is. There's a lot more ruckus around the whole thing and... But actually, it's fun. And we wanted it
Girl interviewer: Like I was going to say, you basically wouldn't mind. You wanted it, right?
Michi(?): Nah, we don't mind
Kai: No, no, it's... It's just that when you're answering the same question for the hundredth time, you get to not answer that question in a serious way any more, but instead...
Markus: And I also made the experience that sometimes, I don't know with whom I'm doing an interview
Girl interviewer: Well, my name is Anette and I'm doing Hard & Heavy and Musicbox and I hope you're...
Markus: That's okay
Weiki: Ah!
Markus: But sometimes I just dunno who's standing there
Girl interviewer: So luckily, you're all successful musicians. But what would you be now if you hadn't become successful as musicians? I'd like to know that
Michi: Unsuccessful musicians
Markus: Yeah, I'd say so, too
Girl interviewer: I think they don't hear you, you have to talk into the microphone
Michi: We would've become unsuccessful musicians
Girl interviewer: Nah, tell me. What did you train to become? Did you have any job?
Yeah, back then, I started training as a clerical worker. But I was sure that this wasn't the right thing for me
Girl interviewer: Let's go on, I'm really interested in that.
[Michi acts like he's blowing his nose on Kai's sleeve]
Girl interviewer: Hey, Michael, stop being snotty, say something! Did you have a job or...
Michi: I trained to become a car mechanic
[Weiki's pun here is untranslatable, sorry! But believe me, it's really funny :P]
Michi: But after half a year, I didn't like that any more
Girl interviewer: And then you quit. [to Kai] And what about you?
Kai: I started studying law, but... er...
[Now take a moment to imagine Kai as a lawyer X_X]
Girl interviewer: Thinking...
Weiki: Well, I graduated from High Scool and after that, I did community service
[That's what those guys in Germany do who don't wanna do military service. It's a known fact that Kai did it, though]
Weiki: But apart from that, I just hung around lazily
Markus: I trained to become a butcher and successfully finished that, but I didn't continue it
Kai: But in the butcher's poll, he was among the top ten. But today, he's slaughtering his bass instead
Markus: They also call me "The Knife"
Girl interviewer: "Markus the Knife". Look here, here we have those things [holding up Helloween figure] People, you can make them stand up, those Helloween figures
[Kai keeps making random noises during this part XD]
Girl interviewer: And we're giving them away as a prize, exactly. I'm so happy that you brought them along for me and the people, and together, we have come up with a question that's very easy. Usually, Halloween is not written with an "e"...
Michi: ...no?
Kai: But with an...
Girl interviewer: No, that is not the question, the question is what does that word mean in American?
Michi: I can explain, that is...
Girl interviewer [stopping him]: Hang on! Ssshhh! Or you're gonna win those figures and it won't be any fun at all.
Kai: Helloween crew are forbidden to participate, or something?
Girl interviewer: Yeah, we can talk about that later. And they're gonna sign them as well, here's the address [reads address and repeating the question] Okay, thanks for coming [band says "bye" in what seems to be their usual weird way ^_^;;;]
