I just got something nice: A Helloween bootleg from 1986. Yes, it's a pre-Kiske live gig with Kai-chan doing the vocals. Wheee~
Actually, I mainly got it to hear Kai speak some more German. But the music is quite good as well, especially if you consider the age of this record.
Vocal-wise, you get early Kai all the way, in all his raspy goodness, ehe XD Well, I think it's cute, so what <3
And then, during the spoken parts of "Victim of fate" he sounds almost exactly like he does today. I think if he had to re-record that part only, you wouldn't be able to recognize which is old and which is new. His voice acting talent has always been there, I suppose.
Teh track list, just because:
01 Ride the sky
02 Gorgar
03 Victim of fate
04 Reptile
05 Judas
06 Guardians
07 Heavy Metal is the law
08 Metal invaders

Hey, where's "Phantoms of death"? That's my fave song from both Walls of Jerico and the Judas EP. And they didn't play it? Meh *kicks Kai* *re-thinks* *grabs Kai and hugs him half-death*
^_^

Anyway, I'll try to get more 1986 era stuff. There's even some video martial floating around. Gosh, how I love the internet *lol*

Edit: Okay, now after hearing Kai hold a small speech about the song "Judas" in German, I can really say that he's got the hell of a Hamburg accent. HOLY SHIT, that's scary ^_^;;;
