New Tobi interview here. It's actually the first one I read where he talks about Rocket Ride and the songs that are on it.
And you know what? I don't have the slightest idea what to think about it all. On the one hand, I loved the "old" Edguy style, like ToS and Mandrake. But on the other, I really adore the Superheroes style as well. Makes me feel like having alisten through that cursed promo after all. Dunno, though.
But what I really liked was the part where Tobi talks about the two sides of him, and the two kinds of songs he writes. I mean, that should silence those people who think that Edguy are turning into some sort of comedy/parody band, cuz as long as Tobi is the song writer, there'll always be serious and bombastic songs as well. So, finally, I guess I'm not that insecure about whether I'm gonna like RR or not, as some people out there seem to be. Well, maybe that's also because I'm a stupid, biased fan and I think they're the best band in the world and I doubt they'll ever do something to disappoint me ^_~
What, Tobi hasn't really listened to DragonForce yet? Well, I hope he dos so during winter break, cuz he's really missing something there. Baka ;P
On another note, I yesterday tried - and failed - to install a copy of Windows XP that would not deactivate and still be update-able. So now I'm back with a temporary installation which will probably be gone again in a week or two.
Well, at least I now moved to open source programs for mail, browsing and writing (Firefox, Thunderbird and Openoffice.org) which is cool cuz they use up a lot less HDD space compared to the commercial Microsoft stuff, and yet are equally - or even more - comfortable than Bill Gates' crap. Yay ^_^
