Nothing to report here...

.... apart from our 'net connection being fucked again.
It runs, but everything except HTTP and mail downloads makes it either run at half speed or crash completely.

Y'know, if I were in command, I'd have upgraded to a satellite connection at least a year ago. True, it's a bit more expensive but it'd be a lot faster and maybe even somewhat stable and reliable compared to this utter shit.

The fun thing is that mum onyl recently renewed our (or rather, their, for I don't support this in the slightest) internet and phone subscription. And is now bound to them for two MORE years! Why? Because she can call every other phone (not cellphone, mind you!) in the country for free now. Yeah, that makes total sense because everyone here talks on the phone for at least five hours a day. NOT!!

Well, right now, it means no TDS/TCR and no anime music. The only thing I can grab via HTTP are old c't TV shows. Which... is still... somewhat nice. Jeez, my parents should be happy that we're that easy to please, otherwise, I dunno what'd happen...

Okay, I need to do something else now, before I explode. Or implode. Who knows.

On a happier note:

Mum bought a ton of tortilla chips and salsa.
And... Curly Wurly :D

The parts for Horatio have arrived.
I don't know yet when we'll build him, but it's good to see how quickly Alternate delivered them. Good work!

(I just heard Georg say "Even with a 16x DVD burner, it's better to use 8x only". How very true indeed...)

Music madness + computer parts checking

I was wondering where the new music from #nippinsei was.
And about an hour ago, it came. 23 releases. All. At. Once.
My connection is already melting. At least it seems to work normally again.

Apart from that, we just checked the parts for Horation and they're all there.
Unfortunately, the fan had no thermal compound packed so they need to buy that, as well as a second SATA cable since the motherboard only came with one. Damn computer equipment manufacturers. Greedy bastards >:O
Still, the delay isn't all that terrible because they're going to build the guy at the weekend anyway. When I'm at yamasagis. Well, can't be helped. Maybe I can force them to at least take a pic or two. And I'll see him in action later anyway.
