As you see I am still albe to type and do anything I want. So, the questions all of you are dying to ask shall be answered here!
Did it hurt?
Yes.
Did it hurt badly?
No.
Was it fun?
Indeed it was.
How does it look?
Fantastic, gotta heal a bit, but still beautiful.
But let's start at the beginning, shall we? This is some sort of continuation of the first story (those who missed it, go read here first).
I got up at... 9:45? Okay, I had been awake since 8 AM due to a combination of nerves and fucking warm weather. We, that is me, mum and dad took mum's car and dropped dad at the place where he had left his own car last night because of a party and the drinking connected with it. Well, then we drove to the upper city (Yes, we have an upper and a lower city as the thing is built on a couple of hills) where "Lucky Stitch" is located (and if their website worked, I'd even give you the link -_-), noticed that we were quite early (they open at 11 AM and it was like, quarter to eleven) and waited.
When they finally opened (Tattoo and piercing people are not exactly the most punctual type of workers, eh?) I presented the dragon I had chosen during our last visit and we finally decided on it. So all that printing stuff from last night was for nothing, but at least the studio's boss refused to make it any smaller and I would be getting the real size. Oh, have I mentioned the fact that he looks rather similar to some German punk band's drummer? So damn handsome ^_^ Might as well call him Bela II from now on as I don't know his name ;_; But believe it or not, he was a drummer himself but had to stop due to some heavy tinnitus, at least that's what he told mum. Great guy, but sadly his girlfriend works in the same studio. Damn ^_~
Anyway, Bela II was copying the picture and arguing with mum about society and stuff at the same time. Wow, that's multitasking for ya *lol* And at one point, he even quoted "Deine Schuld", or rather he and I quoted it together. And of course I was on his side, whereas mum did her best representing the conservative point of view. Well, this didn't last forever and soon he led me into the back of the shop to get it on (XD).
I still didn't know whether I should be afraid or not. But how can you be afraid of something you don't know? First, he prepared the stuff (didn't understand much of it) and then he glued that piece of paper where he had painted the dragon to my skin with some water so that the lines remained on my arm. I checked the position and he switched that electric needle thingy on. Okay, the sound is damn scary, but when he did a small line for testing, I thought "What, that' it? No problem" Okay, during some of the long lines (tail and wings presumably, didn't watch) I was like "Okay, now it's time to stop again, it's starting to really hurt here" but that was only like, five or six times and I just held my breath and it was over again.
As mum had already told me, the black outline was the worst and once we had gotten over that and Bela II started applying the colours, it became really relaxed. Sometimes, I couldn't feel the needle at all, and at other times it was merely a slight scratching. It was really interesting to observe how the thing hurt less, more or differently when he changed places. By the way, there are two types of needles that were used on me. The one used for the colours is quite a bit broader than the one for the outlines. My dragon was black and white first, but Bela II coloured my dragon in flashing red and yellow. The eye is poison green cuz we agreed that "Poison green is cool" ^o^ Gosh, he did a perfect job *ish happy like nothing else*
After some forty-five or fifty minutes (can't tell exactly) the thing was finished. The desinfectant he used burned like hell and that was almost worse than the stitching itself °_° He then took two pictures of it and we called mum to look. She and the piercing guy who came in to check as well (He gave mum the thumbs up when she was about to come in *lol*) said it looked brilliant. And he placed it really nicely so that I can always cover it even if my sleeves are really short. Then, mum paid and we left to buy some fast food for lunch. Oh, and before that, I picked up the page of cleaning and caring instructions that every customer gets.
Yeah, that's it I guess. Now, my dragon is hidden under some plastic wrap and that'll have to stay until it healed off a bit (two or three days). Also, I have to wash and apply ointment to it regularly until it's all nice and healed. But I'll take a picture as soon as possible (on Monday, I'd say) and put it here. And then I have to persuade mum and dad to do a group shot with me. Look forward to it ^___^
