So, here I am. Back from... No, wait. I'm still at hunny's place, trying to catch up on the stuff I missed while bein away for... just one and a half days? Sure feels like it's been a lot longer O_O
When did my flist become so crowded and cool and full of some of the greatest folks I ever met online? No idea, but I love it *huggles flist*

Er...
Unfortunately, the only thing I have to post is... reviews!

Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
So cute and funny. Shame on me for never having watched the other Wallace & Gromit short films T_T But I'll try to catch up on them eventually. Well, I just fell in love with Gromit <3 He's so amazing. Even though he never speaks, the things he tells us with his eyes are more than what most of the other characters have to say *cuddles clever dog*

Kung-Fu Hustle
Chinese humour and tons of cool fighting scenes. If you liked "Shaolin Soccer", you're gonna LOVE this one!

Hun also bought "Fatal Frame 3" (German title: "Project Zero 3", Japanese title: "Rei Zero 3" [probably]) which we tried out last night. Wow, the graphics really improved quite a lot. But I guess I HAD to say that, seeing how we simply skipped the second part *lol*

And I played a bit of "We love Katamari" (Japanese title: "Minna daisuki Katamari" - so the Western title is actually a mistranslation as it should be "Everybody loves Katamari" *ouchies*) as well. It's quite... uh... different, and I'm not only talking about the controls. The whole thing is just wacky and colourful and extremely unusual.
Another thing I like is that when you buy "We love Katamari" in Germany, you basically get the US version, converted to PAL, with a German manual added to it. In other words: The music and the songs are in Japanese while the dialogues and on-screen text are in English. Wheee ^_^

Tomorrow, we're gonna catch up on SG-A and SG-1. And I'm gonna try not to disappear for two whole days AGAIN ;)

Now, that looks good, doesn't it?

So there was a solar eclipse taking place today? Too bad we didn't get to see any of it as there wasn't even a sun in the fist place. Rain eclipse, anyone? =_=

I know, boring post. But I might have anohter thing coming up that's a bit more intersting *evil snicker*

...my cellphone is up on eBay, so wish me luck to get a good price ^_^
Those eBay servers have been dead slow tonight. But Sunday evening is the best time for articles to start (and, more importantly, end) as there are more people browsing the net now.

I've been feeling nostalgic, so I'm currently listening to 16bit game music from the early Nineties. Awww <3 <3 <3

Tonight, I'll be watching "I, Robot" with mum. Strangely enough, both of us have seen that movie before, but we like it a lot so we're watching it again ^^
Then, there's The League on another network, so I'm gonna record that one and watch it later.
Which reminds me, I wanna see "Brothers Grimm" but the DVD will only be out in April T____T

Some long overdue SG-A reviews will be up here tomorrow, yay =)

Also, I'll not be going to see Edguy in Fulda on March 4 after all (screw my parents for spoiling that one >:O), but instead, I had to settle with Oberhausen on the 22nd of February, which is a lot closer but probably a lot less fun as well as there's no Anke around on that day and seeing Edguy in their hometown would've been a blast. Oh well, there's no use crying over spilled Coke, so I guess that's better than not going to any concert at all.
Gotta have to learn the new lyrics soon, even though recent setlists don't look like they're playing my fave songs from "Rocket Ride". Meh =_=
In 2x04, "Duet", there's a female German scientist who gets to say a whole sentence and doesn't even die afterwards *lol*
But then, I had to watch that episode three times until I noticed that there are two scenes where she actually mumbles something in German O_O
Now I forgot what exactly it was, but I'll get to that once again and translate those two sentences, just because I can ^_^

And in 2x07, "Instinct", Ellia, the young female Wraith is played by none other than Jewel Staite - Kaylee in the "Firefly"* TV series and the movie "Serenity". OMG, I would never have recognized her if her name hadn't been in the credits!

* "Firefly" has never been aired in Germany, but they made a DVD box set out of it, which my fiance bought a couple of weeks ago. We're currently watching that (I think we're at episode 6) and it's truly great. The stuff that happened with Fox and that led to the series being canceled is such a shame T_T

BTW, who else loves the new SG-A opening sequence? Now Carson Beckett's in there as well! This means two of my three lovely doctors are now main characters, yay <3

I need to find someone to got to an Edguy concert with me...

*lol* That's what I call a subtle message ^_^;;;
Just one of those many, many priceless moments "Stargate Atlantis" has to offer <3

But then, some of the things other people say about the series makes me feel like they have the "Edguy problem" as well.
Just because there's a lot of funny dialogue in it, certain idiots seem to conclude that it's all a big joke that shouldn't be taken seriously.
Oh, come on! SG-A doesn't take itself that seriously all the time, but there's still tons of scary and shocking stuff in there that makes for a good mix!
And I'm not only talking about the Wraith themselves, it's more some of the things they make their victims do.
For example that birth control thing on this one planet where nobody is allowed to get older than... was it twenty-three? Hey, imagine you have to kill yourself at that age to prevent the Wraith from coming to your planet and killing all the others! Or those guys who readily sacrificed half of their population to create this anti-Wratih drug. That's not really joking to me...
To me, some of the negative comments sounded like those people didn't really watch SG-A closely. They just saw that there's a lot of funny lines and because they thing SciFi has to be dead serious all the time, they dropped it and had nothing better to do than post their stupid complaints on the net.
*pants*
I mean, those who want sad stuff should maybe just stick with "Battlestar Galactica" (My fiance made me watch one epuisode of that and I found it incredibly sick and depressing, which is NOT what I look for in a good SciFi series)...

It's me again. Hun and I are both dead bored both have important internet/comp stuff to do, so I'm back for now *lol*

Today, I sent the 10€ membership fee and my info to the Schizoid Clan people. I hope that one works out well because being in that fanclub has to be amazing ^_^
I also won another heap of 'Ray related clippings on eBay. Luckily, the stuff I already got is from 1993-ish to 2000 and the new material seems to be 199 to ??, so there won't be a lot of doubles. When I'm going home on Wednesday, the new stuff will hopefully be waiting for me and my scanner already <3
Fear the picspam *rofl*

Then, I just checked SciFi.com and read that both Stargate series (Hun got me started on SG-1 this week. This made sense as season 9 kinda re-started the whole thing) will continue their respective seasons this Friday ^^ Gosh, I'm SO looking forward to seeing them again =)
For those who don't know: Hunny is getting those episodes from the net and we're watching them in English as the German dubs are either average (SG-1) or very bad (Atlantis) and we're usually one (Atlantis) or two (SG-1) seasons behind as well. It's sad to say but I guess most Germans have NO IDEA how great those series actually are T_T
Oh well, the fun will be back in a couple of days. But I do feel like re-watching some Atlantis episodes, even though that'd be the third time *cough*

Well, guess that's it for now. C ya =)

1. What kind of computer do you have? (Mac, iBook, Dell, etc.)
A custom made one, full of mixed parts, cards and drives, both old and new. Oiriginally, it was a Fujitsu T-Bird.

2. How old is it? Are you happy with it?
As I said, each and every part has its own age *lol* But I got the main parts (motherboard and CPU) in 2001. And yes, I am happy with it because it works and I can't afford a new comp anyway^_^;;;

3. How many computers are in your household? (at home if you are away at school)
Three desktop PCs and three notebooks. Quite a lot, actually...

4. What are your favorite games/timewasters on your computer?
Thousands of things. Listening to music, watching videos, surfing, chatting, doing the IRC, blogging, etc., etc., etc.

5. If money were no object, what kind of computer would you like to have?
A fast, cool looking one. No details, but it'd have about every cool thing imaginable, like two terabytes of HDD space, expensive sound system, Wacom graphics tablet, a couple of DVD-RW drives and so on. And the exterior would be all black and really awesome-looking. Ah, the money I don't have *lol*

In #eurobeat, I found the following sentence written in the topic: Friends don't let friends resample to 48KHz. Now, I know that 48 KHz thing. Have you ever listened to a mp3 sampled in 48 KHz? *shudders at the mere thought* But I dunno if there's a certain story behind that sentence. I mean, there must be, if they put it in the topic O_O Whatever, doesn't make sense to think about it, now does it?

Hunny and I watched the three final Stargate Atlantis episodes (before the winter break, that is) yesterday. "Conversion" was quite cool, but not as cool as I'd have liked. But then, "Aurora" was just too amazing to describe. I guess I must've looked really stupid during that one, goggling at the screen, thinking "OMG, that is just too great to be real". At this rate, I won't even remember Star Trek anymore once the second season of Atlantis is over *lol*

I just got spoiled.
The next Stargate Atlantis episode. Dammit!
Thanks, sci-fi.com >:O
But then, the thing hunny and I suspected is indeed going to happen.
And...
OMFG, this will be the coolest thing ever!!!
That screenshot of *SPOILER* looks super awesome!
...
Can you tell I'm obsessed with this series?
And what's worse, most Germans will never understand why I love it so much, because of that crappy dub.
*sigh*
Life's hard...

BTW, dear American readers: Last week, there was no episode of Atlantis. Why? Y'see, I don't really know what's going on over there, so I was pretty scared ^_^;;;

Okay, instead of stupid rantings about movies/anime we watched, I have two questiones for you Americans on my flist, concerning Stargate Atlantis on US TV:

1. It's written everywhere that the series airs Fridays at 9/8 C. What the hell does that mean?!?

2. During the episodes, they always display the series' PG rating. Now I do know what that is, but below it, there's stuff like LV and DLV. What are these?

I'd be glad if someone could explain those to me, thx ^_^

And by the way, we just watched episode 2x04, so we're on the same level as anyone else. Anyone in the US, that is, for here in Germany, I believe they just finished airing season 1 and I dunno whether they even started dubbing #2 yet. Actually, I'd be glad if they didn't do that at all. The dub really gave me the creeps when I accidentally switched into it a few weeks ago. How could they do this, ruining the best Sci-Fi series since Star Trek TNG (My opinion!) in such a way? And who selected those voice actors, I'd like to send him/her a letter bomb =_=
Oh well, at least hun and I can watch the original (We got episode 2x04 only twenty-four hours after it was aired O_O) and gosh, what fun this is =) Rodney McKay sure is the biggest prat in the universe, but I love him a lot, he's so amusing XD And those dialogues *roflmao* You need to read some of those on IMDB'S site ^_^ Not to mention the excellent stories and stunning ideas, I don't think those Star Trek people even got close to something like this. Sorry, Gene!
And then, I need to make a screenshot of McKay and Beckett kissing, print it out and put it to my wall *lol* That episode was simply AMAZING, and the kiss was just the peak of the iceberg X_X Oh, and a German member of crew got to speak three whole words and amazingly DIDN'T get killed tho I would've assumed it. Hooray, or something like that >_>
No, I'm not obsessed. And I won't take all the episodes with me once I get back home and watch them all over again. Okay, okay, you got me, I WILL do that. Hun watched them twice as well, once alone and a second time together with me. He said he was really happy that I like the series, for I never loved SG-1 that much. But then, Atlantis is loads better, and I'm sure it'll be a more than decent replacement XD

Anyway, off to... er... write a very important email. More about THIS later. Might even friends-cut that, for it's really... crazy news. Tobu related, yes, but maybe even more than that.
