Small SG-A rant

But then, some of the things other people say about the series makes me feel like they have the "Edguy problem" as well.
Just because there's a lot of funny dialogue in it, certain idiots seem to conclude that it's all a big joke that shouldn't be taken seriously.
Oh, come on! SG-A doesn't take itself that seriously all the time, but there's still tons of scary and shocking stuff in there that makes for a good mix!
And I'm not only talking about the Wraith themselves, it's more some of the things they make their victims do.
For example that birth control thing on this one planet where nobody is allowed to get older than... was it twenty-three? Hey, imagine you have to kill yourself at that age to prevent the Wraith from coming to your planet and killing all the others! Or those guys who readily sacrificed half of their population to create this anti-Wratih drug. That's not really joking to me...
To me, some of the negative comments sounded like those people didn't really watch SG-A closely. They just saw that there's a lot of funny lines and because they thing SciFi has to be dead serious all the time, they dropped it and had nothing better to do than post their stupid complaints on the net.

I mean, those who want sad stuff should maybe just stick with "Battlestar Galactica" (My fiance made me watch one epuisode of that and I found it incredibly sick and depressing, which is NOT what I look for in a good SciFi series)...

rdyfrde and I had been talking about a new Metal Opera, one where Kai could use that other side of his voice (the deep, evil, beastly one) to play the villain.
Well, I guess "Avantasia 3 - The Wrath of Regrin" was not the best of ideas *lol*
Knowing "Blood religion" and the incredible impact it seems to have had on many Gamma Ray fans (including me), I thought that vampires would be the ideal subject.
Even though imagining Kai as a vampire... well, I guess he'd look pretty unique, cuz I don't think there are many freckly vampires with curly hair and a Hamburg accent *roflmao*
Still, I think it'd be the perfect role for him, voice-wise.
Maybe one could even adopt the concept of Abel Nightroad, the main character of "Trinity Blood". If we do that, Kai's vampire would be cute and clumsy in daily life, but cool and demonic once he's coming into action.
And now I have to stop imagining that or I'll really need a cold shower ^_~

... Something inside me desperately wants to add tags to all of my entries, but that amount of work would be a bit too much, even for me. Guess I'll just start unsing them form now on and gradually update some older entries once I find the time or feel like it...
