Got a new coat. Black, long and pretty warm. Me likes <3 <3 <3

I also ordered a new set of speakers: Teac X-20. People keep telling me that both Creative and Logitech speakers are crap and much too expensive. So I really didn't know what to do until I found those Teac ones.
Hun and I actually tested them at an electronics store some time before, and they sounded really great, even though we just had some shitty R'n'B as a benchmark. It's a shame that back then, I didn't have the money to buy them because they kinda disappeared from the store shortly after and I couldn't find them anywhere on the net either. It looked like they were not even made any more. By pure chance, I stumbled across Alternate's website (both my PC's main board and CPU were bought from them) and they still have 'em ^_^ I already sent the money, and there's a chance for that arriving really quickly, as we're with the same bank. (You have no idea how slow online banking down here can be if you're sending from one bank to another O_o)
Yesterday, I removed my crappy 5.1 set from my comp cuz I can't stand listening to them even one day longer. Really, connecting a pair of coke cans to my sound card would get me better performance than those little bits of rubbish *kicks them* Why aren't they made of wood? I'd really love to burn 'em >:O
Anyway, I'm sure listening to Gamma Ray on those X-20 will be a real blast.

BTW, did you know that the number of watts a set of speakers has simply doesn't mean anything? Hun told me that. That's because it's not laid down scientifically or something, and so the manufacturer can just make up a number, like 1000 watts, to make the description of their product look better. The set I bought has 6 watts, and it sounds absolutely brilliant and, as far as I remember, can get really loud. My tip: Don't buy speakers without actually listening to them first. That's basically your only chance if you don't wanna get ripped off.

Last night, I had some awesome fun listening to "No World Order" and reading the booklet at the same time. Geez, I'm really easy to please, aren't I? But then, those songs really are something, lyric-wise. And I'm not only talking about Kai's songs. I mean, some of the stuff HE has written simply blew my mind, but the other guys also have a lot of talent and even their own style. Henjo's stuff, for example, often has a very strong keyboard part (might be cuz he's the keyboard player in the studio *lol*), a rather simple melody that's either very, very lovely ("The winged horse") or terribly annoying ("The guardians of mankind") and lyrics that are kinda more narrative than Kai's, for example. Well, at least that's my impression ^_^;;; In short, I really like how everybody in Gamma Ray writes their own songs. That way, they're even more of a band than some of their colleagues ^_~

I'm planning to replace some of my rings. More about that later.

On a very annoying note: My head hurts. Just when did I start getting migraine at that time of the month, huh? I was really doing fine with just the average pain in the lower regions, could I get that back, please? XO

Guess I'll just finish one or two things I'm downloading and then get my ass into bed. There's Super Nanny and that home improvement show tonight, which is both nice to watch.

BTW, does America have an Animal Nanny as well? We do, and the stuff she does to get those evil dogs to behave is pure fun (scary lemon-spraying necklace, anyone?), especially for dog haters XD
