Maybe... at the beginning?

Yesterday, we visited a Japanese house of culture in a city near that one where hun lives. Didn't know why he wanted to go there that much, we had already been there and the weather wasn't that good eother (it had been raining all day). Okay, it stopped raining for half an hour when we got there, but anyway. It WAS our fifth anniversary, BTW. We looked at the temple and then, we were in the beautuful Japanese garden. After having walked around for a bit, hun pulled me into his arms. He asked whether I thought that the scenery was beautiful. I said yes. And then... he proposed to me! IN JAPANESE!!! *dies* Well, I burst into tears before being able to say ANYTHING, but then I said yes... I mean, I said "Hai" ^_^
In other words... We're engaged now <3 <3 <3
We went and ordered rings straight away, but on the way to the jeweller's shop, we called everyone to tell them =) Some reactions where pretty weird, others downright funny. When hun told his brother that he just got engaged, he replied "To whom?" *lol*
Unfortunately, we'll have to wait a couple of weeks until we get the rings. And BTW, we won't marry that soon.
The evil thing about this is that everyone on hun's side knew about this. His dad, his co-worker, their company's secretary,... EVERYONE except me XD Oh well, it sure was a nice surprise ^_^

I wonder... Should I stop fangirling now that I'm as good as married? Nah, it'd take all the fun out of lfe *rofl*

There should be more Monty Python memes. Yea ^_^

BTW, the Siemens-Fujitsu Lifebook thingy is off. Hun had a look at mum's laptop on Firday and said that they use the cheapest display possible X_X The thing is that I have no idea about brands at all and so I asked him to tell me which are good and which are not. The following list is not complete but has most of the bigger names, from best to worst.

  • Toshiba

  • Sony

  • HP/IBM/Dell

  • Fujitsu-Siemens

  • others

  • Gericom

  • I laughed my head off when he said "Put Gericom in last place, behind 'others'." XD

Well, the problem is that both Sony and Toshiba are much too expensive. I'm planning to get one that has at least 750 MHz CPU speed, and I won't be able to spend more than 300/330€. If I wanted to get a Toshiba/Sony onelike that, it'd cost me A LOT more =_= But then, Toshiba usually has those pointing sticks instead of touch pads and I don't want that (I tried out hun's - he has a Toshiba one - and I hate that stick XD). Guess I'll go for a HP/IBM/Dell one. I found a nice, cheap 933 MHz HP model lately, but I soon discovered that it didn't even have an optical drive (CD_ROM/DVD-ROM) O_O That just reinforced my advice to anyone using eBay: Read, double-read and triple-read every single letter on the page of any auction you're planning to participate in. It'll spare you trouble and/or bad surprises.

Okay, change of topic: The stock car race last night was awesome. I really loved when Oliver Pocher's car started burning and he panicked ^_^;;; The title song is awesome, too - "I want Rock" by Dicks on Fire (Stefan Raab, Rick Kavanian [a comedian] and Max Mutzke [represented Germany in last year's Eurovision Song Contest]). Maybe I'll put that as "Song of the Moment" tomorrow =)
