... and become a computer saleswoman/consultant.
Okay, first things first, a.k.a. the story from the beginning. There's that couple, friends (probably the best ones) of my parents. Both pensioners, both in their sixties. They bought a - very cheap - digital camera and made photos with it. Now, their computer is probably from 1993 or something, so it doesn't even have USB. Which means that Jessy had to take the camera with her, connect it to her HAL9200, put the pictures on her HDD, sort them and burn them onto a CD-ROM. That took me approximately twenty minutes (including showing some of the pics to mum ^^), but they still gave me 10€ for it O_O
And it seems like my work isn't over yet cuz they want to get a new computer now and they need someone to go to the store with them and help them select a model that suits their needs but isn't ridiculously expenisve. And guess whom they nominated for thast? Right, nerdy little me XD Heh, I guess that one is gonna be fun, cuz those two are really nice. Plus, they laugh about my jokes quite a lot which always makes me like people almost in spite of myself ^_^;;; Anyway, I don't know when that PC buying is gonna take place, but once it happens, I'll be sure to write up a nice report about it.
And then, those two won't be the only ones buying a new PC this summer. Mum is also planning to get one. Which means that bro and I are gonna share the parts of her old one =) We already talked about it and agreed that he'll get the mainboard, CPU and RAM, and I'll take the case, HDD (60 GB) and DVD-ROM drives. In other words, I won't have to worry about buying a new HDD for now (Remmeber, my current one has a cache problem) and I'll also be able to replace my very old, slow DVD-ROM drive which started to make strange noises a while ago and behaves like it won't live long. Yay!
PS: Saw the complete "Angels" video clip today. OMG, that one is simply amazing! Great acting, story, special effects, and above all, THAT KICK-ASS SONG *faints*
PS 2: I found my dad's Skype account (his company uses it for business calls and almost replaced the normal phones with it) ^_^ Maybe I'll try to call him when he's at his desk next week *lol*
PS 3: I downloaded the "Goblet of Fire" trailer, just out of curiosity. Holy crap, I nearly cried (same as with the last one, actually ^_^;;;)...
