So, here is what happened yesterday.
1.
Came home from hunny's place, booted my comp, turned on the TV application, and BOOM. The thing froze completely. Restarted HAL, but it didn't wanna boot up any more. Panicked and called hunny fpor help. He told me to remove the TV card, which I did. Hey, that was the first time I managed to open up that bloody metal case without cutting any fingers! (You won't believe how sharp those edges are) Booting worked well without the card, so it looks like my power supply is just too weak and old and I need to get a new one before I can use my TV card. I know, we tested the card on Christmas Eve, but at that time, the comp had already been running for half a day. Yesterday, the thing was cold and had to bring up full power from one second to the next, which it didn't manage. So, I won't take any risks and asked hun to get me a new power supply. Luckily, he can get those through the company he works for at half the usual price. I'll just have to wait for two weeks, but that's no problem if I save 20€ ^_^ Wow, I was really relieved because I first thought that the supply had died which would've meant two weeks without a comp. Hello?! That would've been IMPOSSIBLE!
2.
Later that evening, dad was sitting at mum's comp, doing some Excel stuff. Something was funny and he thought it was because of the internet, so he turned the router off. That was completely crappy and nonsensical, but that's beside the point here. When we turned it on again, the router didn't wanna work anymore. The DSL modem did connect, the router was accessible from any comp over local network. But none of us could connect to the internet. We had similar problems before, resulting from over-usage of the local telephone lines, so we waited until today for the thing to work again. Now guess what? Exactly, it didn't. Luckily, we still had our old router so Jessy decided to replace the new one. And lo, work it did. Called hun and he said it might be a software problem and he's quite confident that he can do something about it. So we're gonna give the router to him next week and bro will have to live without WLAN for a week or two, but at least we got a working internet connection again. My fserve doesn't work ATM, but I don't care ATM =_=

And that thing last night made me miss two auctions. Mehness ~_~
At least I bought my mp3 player and a 512 MB CF card. I'm rather curious about how long they might take to arrive here and which one will be first...
Which reminds me... Are there still people selling WLAN cables on eBay? Or Bluetooth ones? *lol*
Need to stop listening to "And then there was silence" or I might buy the respective flag. Y'know, the one that has two dragons on it. I don't have any flags yet, so... Dammit, why is there so little Edguy merchandise out there?!?
