?___?

What's with that post on the official Gamma Ray message board?
That guy is saying that he's been a long-time GR fan and still manages to write such utter nonsense?
I mean, not only does he state something that's clearly wrong (Kai said on various occasions that he IS a religios person), but his example is very, very bad as well. There are tons of songs that MIGHT be used to support his so-called argument if he bends their interpretation a bit, but "Land of the free" is definately not one of them. Okay, there might be religios references thrown in here and there, (after all, the LOTF album is about searching for the meaning of life) but to say that Kai's lyrics are anti-religious is just not true. And saying that feels a bit like making things easier and more simple as they are.
*sigh*
This is a bit like taking anti-Bush tendencies personal. I don't get that either. I wouldn't even take it personal if people called me a Nazi. Luckily, I've never been called that myself, but I saw it happen on various occasions on IRC. But those ppl are just too stupid to be taken seriously. It's just something to provoke others, and I bet most of them don't even know what exactly they're referring to. They just hear where we're from and their brain stops working somehow. But once they get to know us, they usually won't say things like that any more. And it's the same with you Americans. You have no idea how bad some people I know tend to talk about you. But those are mostly people who've never met or talked to one of you, even if it's just on the net. They just see what's happening on the news and by that, they judge the whole nation. That's just wrong and I usually tell them so. Not that it helps, but I'm not one to just sit and watch things happen.

Yeah I guess I never take lyrics too seriously myself. Mainly because I rarely read them. I mean I know them by heart but I rarely analyze them. It just never interested me to do so. My mom, on the other hand, does a lot. Especially with Sting lyrics as he likes to put all sorts of metaphors in there.

As for the anti-Bush stance. Well I can understand Kai's bitterness as the Gulf War started on his 28th birthday. I'd be bitter too. Then again, I agree with him that the US is fighting in a pointless war.

This country seems to "brainwash" us into thinking that Germany, Russia, China, Japan, Britain, and now the Middle East and France are all very very bad and wish for our country's doom. Starts in school and is difficult to ever shake because of the media. Sucks, but it is true.

I try not to care or keep up with any political affairs past or present. Causes unnecessary stress. ^_^
