How many cats dwell in your home? Two.

What are their descriptions/breeds? European Shorthair, black.

Sexes? They're both boys.

What are their names and nicknames? Jiro (nicknames: "Baby Wupp" ("Baby Thud") because of his habit of toppling down in front of you, wanting belly rubs and "Röchen", which is just a German minimization of the second syllable in his name) and Tenchi ("TenTen" or "Chi").

How come you named them what you did; the history behind their names? Well, we first thought they were girls and named them Miyuki (Tenchi) and Nagisa (Jiro). But after a few weeks, a vet finally used his brain and told us they're in fact male. When we had to look for new names, I checked a list of Japanese boys' names and fell in love with the sound of "Jiro" ("second son"). Tenchi was named by yamasagi, probably after the character from the anime "Tenchi Muyo!".

Are any of them related? Yes, they're brothers.



Have any of them fathered/mothered kittens? No, they're neutered.

If so, how did the cats react to the kittens? N/A

Are they spayed/neutered? Yes.

Are they trained? Not really.

Had you rescued any of your cats when you got them? Kind of. They lived on a farm and would eventually have died because the cats there are not really taken care of. Their mother actually died after getting caught in a window, which wasn't even discovered for several days...

What is each cat's personality? Jiro is shy and insecure, Tenchi is bold and cheeky.

Are any of your cats comedians? Unintentionally, yes *lol*

Are any of them solemn? Tenchi sometimes appears like it, but isn't really.

Do you feel they judge you? I'm absolutely sure they have their very own opinions about mum and dad.

Do your cats get along? Oh yes. They absolutely adore each other. They love playing and generally doing things together.

Do you have any other pets? No.

If so, do your cats get along with them? N/A

Do you give your cats treats? Yes, cat crisps for bedtime each night and sometimes those smelly meaty sticks.

Do they know any tricks? Tenchi can open doors and pick treats from your hand, which is something Jiro never got the hang of ;) Oh, and he also likes to flush the toilet, especially during the night *lol*

Are they introverted or extraverted? Mostly, Jiro's pretty quiet and Tenchi is rather outspoken.

Do they get along with people? If it's just one or two, yeah. If it's more, they tend to hide.

Do they have their claws? Of course! I'd never even consider de-clawing. It's barbaric >:O

Are they respectful? Yes, they're very good, sweet kittehs. I've never heard them hiss or been hurt by one of them on purpose.

Do they have any favorite toys; what toys? They love straws and other things to nibble on and cardboard boxes to hide and climb in. In general, they prefer playing with household stuff to toys made especially for them.

Do they dig catnip? Yes, but I think the novelty has somewhat worn off...

What kind of food are they fed? Well, there's always a supply of dry food (Whiskas chicken flavour - they love this stuff) and in they evening, they get a helping of wet food (With this kind of food, they prefer fish, I think).

Do they beg for your food? Tenchi certainly reminds us once it's dinnertime. Meow, meow... ;)

Do they like tuna? Since they love fishy cat food, I suspectt hey might like tuna as well. Haven't tried yet...

Any of them like veggies or fruits? They're certainly interested in sniffing/touching it but I have never seen them actually take a bite *lol*

Have any of them had fleas? They both did when we got them from the farm. They ears were infested with parasites as well T_T

Have you ever given any of them a bath? Nope.

If so, how did they react? N/A

Do your cats ever go wild during a full moon? They go wild every night once they notice we're about to go to bed *lol*

Do any of your cats particularly like music? Dunno since I mostly use earphones.

Do any of your cats have bad breath? Only when they've just had fishy food. Otherwise, their breath is really nice.

Do any of your cats have health problems? Jiro has this bald-ish spot on his tail. We think he's ripping out the hair down there for some reason. Maybe he'll need to see a cat shrink. Otherwise, the vet's always delighted about them and their shape =)

Have they ever challenged a dog? When they were babies and still lived at the farm, there was a huge dog too. I'm told the baby kittehs liked to climb onto and cuddle him and apparently, he didn't really mind :x

Any of them ever randomly gone wild? Of course! Tenchi has those momens when he'll run around the flat like mad. It's cute but you realy need to watch where you walk during those ftis ^^

Do they like to be held? Sometimes. Jiro loves lying in yamasagi's arms, and Tenchi occasionally enjoys being carried around on someone's shoulder.

Do loud noises intimidate them? Only if they're not familiar with the noise.

How do they feel about whistling? Sometimes, they'll look around to see where the noise came from, sometimes they don't care at all.

Are they fearful of the vacuum cleaner? Oh yes.

Does a mower scare them? Dunno, they've never seen one.

Have they ever caught spiders, cockroaches, moths, mice, or flies inside? Hell yes.

If so, are they good exterminators, or do they just play with the pests? At first, they do play with the insects, but then, they usually eat them. Tenchi is pretty bad at it and actually makes yamasagi hold him up so he can reach them. But Jiro can actually catch a fly in midair! He's awesome <3

Are any of them afraid of heights? Not at all.

Do you think they form facial expressions? Absolutely! Jiro has the sweetest, most content smile in the world.

Do any of them smell like perfume, naturally? To me, the smell of soft, warm fur IS perfume, so, yes.

Any of them smell not so good? Only when they've just used the litterbox.

If so, what do you do about it? N/A

Do any of them feel like mink or rabbit fur? Jiro has very soft, silky fur, so I guess he's the mink. Tenchi's fur is not quite the same, so maybe he's the rabbit. Hell, we do call them rabbits a lot anyway ;)

Any of them major shedders? Hell yeah. When I vacuum the flat, I get enough hair to make a third cat (running joke!).

Do any of them have a tiny voice? Jiro mostly does those very quiet, tiny meows. So cute. And he currs like a fluffy black pigeon <3

How about a loud mouth? If Tenchi is bored or wants something, he can get pretty... insistent. But it's still adorable :x

Do they like to get fur in your face? Dunno, but I could bury my face in their fur alllll day <3

Do they purr a lot? Tenchi does, yeah. In the beginning, Jiro hardly ever did it, but these days, is seems he's getting the hang of it, which is nice. His purr is very deep and bass-like, while Tenchi sounds more like a lawnmower *lol*

Any of them like to roll? Jiro loves it, especially omn the rug at the front door. I don't think I've ever seen Tenchi do it...

Any of them like rubbing against legs, chairs, walls; basically everything? They both do, but Jiro does it a lot more often. Tenchi prefers forehead rubbing <3

Any of them hyper? Tenchi can get very wild.

Are any of them pretty carefree? Tenchi tends to look pretty relaxed, Jiro's more of an anxious type.

How about mischievous? Tenchi likes to startle Jiro when he comes out of the litterbox. But apart from that, they're really nice to each other and to us.

Do they like to test the boundaries? Of course!

Do they follow you around like shadows? Yes. It's especially bad with yamasagi and Jiro. And lately, Tenchi has taken up the habit of sitting in front of the bathroom door meowing until you come out again ^_^;;;

Any of them like to throw fits? Not really, apart from Tenchi's "hyper mode".

Ever tripped over any of your cats? It was pretty close once or twice, but not quite.

Do any of them ever end up looking hilarious when trying to be menacing? Not really. They just look cute when they're angry ^^

Have your cats ever been exposed to a frog or toad? No.

If so, how did they react? N/A

Do shiny things scare them? Don't think so...

How do they feel about birds? They like to watch them through the window. I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting to chase one ;)

Do they think bags are a great? Oh yes. Climbing in and out is so much fun!

Have you ever given them the round cap seal from a milk bottle to play with? We give them bottle caps and Pringles lids occasionally.

Do any of them fetch? No.

What are their greatest fears? Being without mummy and daddy. No doubt about that.

Relay a funny incident about one of your cats: One day, Jiro ate that one bug. Apparently, it tasted really yucky because he kept running around, spitting like crazy. So cute ^^

Are they good with children? They've never met one.

Do they hide from strangers? Yes.

Do they claw the furniture? Sadly, yes.

How old was each one when adopted? They were about three onths old.

How old are they now? About two years and five months.

Have you ever moved with your cats? No.

If so, how did they react to the move? N/A

Have you ever left your cats home alone while on vacation? We once left them alone for two days. Never. Again.

If so, were they glad to see you return or didn’t care? Of course they were happy. And we were pretty sorry because they seemed to ahve suffered a lot.

Also if so, was the home a disaster? What do you suppose they did? No, nothing was changed from how we had left it. We suspect they've been hiding behind the couch most of the time ;_;

Have you had any cats that have died? No, since they're my first cats.

If so, how did the other cats, or you, deal with the grief? N/A

What are their favorite activities? Sleepig, eating, playing, being petted.

Is there anything odd about each cat? No diea where to begin. They're quite the characters XD

Do you feel they have souls? Absolutely!

Do any of them have a bell? No.

Any of them sport a fancy, or odd collar to match their personality? No, just normal collars.

Do you feel your cats are quite different than most cats? Yes, they have pretty unique personalities.

Are they a gang, or are they loners? A bit of both, I guess.

Do they spice life up for you? Hell yes!

Any of them like to lick you like a dog? Not really. Tenchi just licks my hand when I give him treats <3

Do they ever go outside? Never have, never will.

Do they like nature? N/A

Have any of them killed anything? Of course. Flies, spiders, bugs...

Will they ever wear outfits? I'd never make them wear any. But Tenchi likes to sleep in my underwear drawer and one day, he came out wearing one of my panties on his head. We nearly choked laughing ^_^;;;

If you live where there is snow, do they like the snow? Dunno since they don't go outside. They're very interested in bath bubbles, though.

How do they feel about wrapped presents? They're curious!

Do they get excited about packages? Indeed.

Do they ever go in the car? Only when we have to bring them to the vet. They hate it.

Will they go with you to the park? No.

Do they ever pose for pictures? Tenchi does, Jiro usually turns away.

Do they obey your commands? Not really.

Do they bite or scratch? Just unintentionally, when they're in a playful mood, and it doesn't really hurt.

Any of them moody like a teenager? Sometimes.

What are their eye colors? Yellow.

What large cats do you think each cat is most like? Of course they're pretty black panthers <3

Are they protective of you? Dunno...

Do they have a spiritual bond with you? I'm pretty sure they do.

Do they like being petted? Absolutely!

Do they like to be picked up? No.

Ever trimmed their claws; if so, how did that go? Yes, we sometimes trim the ones in the front, abd since we tend to do it when they're sleepy, it usually goes quite well.

Have you ever carried them around on your shoulders? Yes. Tenchi likes it quite a bit.

Any of them climbed into your bag and tried to hitch a ride with you? Yeah, Tenchi's notorious for that ^^

Are they leash trained? No.

How do they feel about the vet? They hate it, but they recover from it more quickly than they did two years ago. I guess they know we'll always take them back home afterwards.

Do they have collars? Yes, Jiro's is red, Tenchi's dark blue.

Are they timid or adventurous? A bit of both, depending on the situation.

Do they smile? Yes, they smile a lot when they're feeling comfortable.

Do they stare? Jiro's very good at that. Actually, after he got the name, we found out that "jiro-jiro" is Japanese for "to stare". Weird, huh? XD

Do they ever hold grudges? Not at all, they're very forgiving.

Are they friendly? Yes.

Do they climb on counters or cabinets? Yep, Jiro's pretty good at it, and Tenchi's really clumsy. Sometimes, I actually help him up *lol*

Do they think you are a jungle gym? I think Jiro once used yamasagi as a trampoline, but apart from that, they prefer climbing on things to climbing on us ;)

Have any of them ever gotten caught in a couch? No, but they do get stuck between the couch and the wall once in a while.

Have any of them ever gotten caught in a closet or cabinet? No.

Do they climb into bookshelves? Yep.

Do they have any cat condos? They have one huge condo that almost takes up half the living room. I fondly call it "scratching forest" ;)

Where do they sleep? On the condo, on the bed or on one of the armchairs in the bedroom. When it's really hot, they also like to sleep in the tub.

How do they feel about musical instruments, if they ever encounter them? Never seen one.

Do they do anything they know drives you crazy? Of course, they're cats ^^

Do you love your cats? Very much.

Do your cats love you back? Without a shred of doubt.

Could you live without your cats? Probably not. Always wanted one and now I got two - bliss <3

Do your cats run everything, or do you? Depends on who you ask ;)
