Today was kinda uneventful. Still, some small happy things did happen...

- Did weekly grocery shopping at the wholesale store with [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi, which is always fun <3

- Finished watching Dekaranger, the Deka movie and also watched "Magiranger VS Dekaranger". These crossover movies are quite possibly the best thing since the invention of the internet *lol*

- Managed to get my C:\ dive backed up on the server. Apparently, trying to store D:\ made the appc rash. Oh well, since C:\ is my system partition, just getting that secured is sufficient, too.

My happy things for today:

- Took some adorable photos of Jiro and Tenchi to post on their birthday. Wow, who would have thought that our boys will turn three on May 1st? ^^

- Applied online for Japanese studies in Düsseldorf. Just having tried it gives me a good feeling. And even if I don't pass, which might very well be the case, I plan to continue the self-teaching so that maybe, in some distant future, I'll be able tot ake the JLPTs.

Let's see... today's happeh is...

- Prepared some things to sell on eBay. Let's see how it goes when the auctions actually start (tomorrow evening).

- Watched more Dekaranger. It's getting more interesting the more members join the S.P.D. Also, I simply adore the ultra-cool big band style ED (it's called "Midnight Dekaranger", sung by the amazing SASAKI Isao-sama) <3

- Created my first Twibe - Super_Sentai!

My happy things for today:

- Lazy Sundays are always nice =)

- Started watching Dekaranger. Am certainly liking it so far, even though it's got a MUCH darker general tone to it than both Magiranger and Go-Onger.

- Somehow managed to grab the Dekaranger complete song collection which is more than just rare. Some of the insert sogns sounded totally Metal, so I'll have a thorough listen to it after I finish the series.

Just one happy today, but it's a really special one, so I put it up on my YouTube account for all to see.

Engine Sentai Go-Onger doing a roll call without helmets. This is of course from the final episode!

(No, I didn't cry during that episode. Not at all. Me? Never ^_^;;;)
Also, all of the Engines' voice actors had cameo appearances (this time as real people) in there. Awwww ^^

Happy for today:

- [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi bought Cherry COke jsut for me <3
- My translation of that NDA was a big success ^^
- It seems that [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi is starting to notice that listening to my advice once in a while might actually be to his benefit :P
- Hearing Kai on Primeval (He's the German vocie actor of Nigel Marven who made a cameo in episode 3x04) :D

Happeh for today:

- First asparagus meal of the season. OM NOM NOM!
- Finishing the translation job for dad-in-law's company together with [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi. We're a good team ^^

Tagged by [livejournal.com profile] silicondreams. I forgot to start yesterday but will try to do eight days from now on. Yakusoku da yo ^_^;;;
Sooo, happy for today:

- Getting out of the "Ah, gonna do it all later" kinda mood into one that's a bit more like "Okay, if I do it now, I can relax afterwards". Go me ^^
- Watching lots and LOTS of Go-Onger. It's so wild and funny and crazy and emotional and dramatic. Just the way I like my Super Sentai ;) Did they actually break some record with the twelve-mecha gattai? Anyway. I was happy to see Go-On Gold and Silver dancing at the end of episode 36 <3
- Onion rings :D~~~
Whaaaat, it's over already? Awww, what a pity. I really liked finding positive thigns to post each day and reading about other people's happy happenings =)
Anyway. Today's:

- Finding the manual and software for my soon-to-be new camera on my desk.

- Buying and eating tons of yummy sushi.

- Bombarding Kai with Japanese Christmas songs ^^

Alright, many happy things for today.

- Buying stuff for our Xmas Eve fondue (OM NOM NOM) :D~~~~

- Got a new, cute and warm black quilted winter coat ^_^

- Plans for tomorrow: Going to Little Japan (the Japanese quarter of Düsseldorf) to buy sushi and sweets, then filling up our supplies of Ben & Jerry's on the way home. Whee~!

- [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi just ordered a new camera for himself (an Canon EOS 450D if I'm not mistaken), which means I'll get his old one once the new specimen arrives. The old one is a Kodak Z7590, BTW. An awesome, almost semi-professional device, and certainly tons better than my current C813.

Finally, a test I found on some message board, and I don't even know who the character is that I ended up getting *lol*

Happy Brithday, dear [livejournal.com profile] metalmusicfan!!!
May your day be filled with happiness, presents and Nine ^___^

My happy thing for today: A picture Kai sent me. I gotta admit that I very nearly fainted. It was just so unexpected... and almost painfully cute... *shakes*
That man is doing it on purpose, I swear. And I'm glad about it *swoons* <3 <3 <3
- Finding out that Kai's Xmas presents took less than a day to arrive in Munich. Wow! He even promised me not to open 'em before the 24th <3

- Testing and collecting tons of freeware for my Z22.
- Finished my new blog layout in record time. And it turned out really nice, if you ask me =)

- Finally grabbed "Enson Vol. 2". Remember? I talked about it here and here. And since I already romanized the tracklist, the fact that the files I got were all in kana didn't matter at all *proud of herself*

I also added some claims to my profile. Have a look at the stuff (in the "omake" section), it's really amusing XD

ETA: I uploaded ENSON Vol .2 for the Nigihana community. Click here (Megaupload link)!
My happy thing for today: Those arriving in the mail. I'm planning to wear them when I visit my parents (25th/26th) ^_^

I've also started looking for a WordPress layout to customize. My German blog really needs a new outift =)

So, like I said, I'm crazy enough to try a third time.
University of Duisburg and Essen, here I come. Yet again *lol*

Alright, so. Details. A lot of them, too. Enjoy... or not XP
The thing is, until today, I firmly believed that my a-level grade average (2.9, with 1 being the best and 6 the worst possible grade) is too bad to get into any course that's not economy, mathematics or natural science. Basically, I was absolutely sure that fun things such as English, German or Philosophy were a no-go.
Well, apparently, I was wrong.
I don't really know why (Maybe because of the new study fees?), but several of the interesting courses don't have any appliciation restrictions at all.
Among them Anglophone Studies and Applied Philosophy.
Sweet Zombie Jesus... *gasp*
Needless to say, that's gonna be my first subject (FYI, I'll need to chosse two).
I'll also apply for German (the full name of the course is "German Language, Literature, Culture and Communication"... wow, what a ginormous title... *pants*") but last time, the passing threshold grade was 2.4, so I don't expect to get in there. Still, I'll be able to study English without a doubt... Gonna show 'em kiddies what an old hag like me can pull off *beams*

Unfortunately, they won't let you start studying in the spring semester, but I guess that leaves me enough time to work and collect a bit of money. The whole deal will cost me 1000 Euros per year after all ;)
I already asked [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi to kick his dad's ass so I can maybe get a small job in their company, like designing websites or something. Heck, just a few hundred Euros will be more than enough to buy books (and cafeteria food :D~~~).

And hey, I'm not too old to start over. Other people have done that and succeeded, so why shouldn't I? ^_^

Gosh, the mere thought of going back there is almost too awesome to be true... Needless to say, that's my happy thing for today :D

ETA: Hehe, the Anglistics department's web site introduction is titled "Mission statement". I think I already love them. Dorks XDDD

The 8-days Meme:
The rules are that for 8 days you have to post something that made you happy that day. Tag 8 people to do the same.

Well, the thing that made me profoundly happy today was a package from Kai I got in the mail. Still eight days left until I find out what it is. Ah, the excitement ^^

Apparently, I have exactly eight people left to tag: [livejournal.com profile] arachnerd, [livejournal.com profile] jalana, [livejournal.com profile] megamike, [livejournal.com profile] mirmingi, [livejournal.com profile] rennuian, [livejournal.com profile] selleo, [livejournal.com profile] sorion, [livejournal.com profile] thekelaal. I hope I'm not double-tagging anyone ^_^;;;
