( Dec. 27th, 2008 09:35 pm)
Hope everyone had a nice and peaceful Christmas. I sure did =)

So, I got 50€ from my parents, that's why I just extended my Paid Account to October 2009 ^_^
My max userpics increased by 2 to 121, which is pretty nice.

I also ordered this jacket, which I've been after for months, but never seemed to have the money left to actually get it ;)

4chan is being attacked by another wave of spam Ugh -_-

More about my presents and the three days of Xmas once I get around to actually writing something up ^_^;;;

Finally, have a longcat!

(Tenchi. He's a BIG kitty O.o)

Wind (one of the important people on Nigihana) replied to my thread (the one where I posted the link to my upload of ENSON Vol. 2)
Although I had originally thought very little of this considering how very songs I knew on this album, I still picked it up and gave it a whirl.

I need to start a new paragraph for this: The covers of "Sora-iro Days" and "God Knows..." are absolutely brilliant. they capture if not surpass the original awesomeness of the songs and make it into something awesome. If for nothing else, give the album a listen for that matter.

How cool is that? I actually managed to impress him ^_^
He even took my upload and turned into an official release O.o
I know because even though he packed it in a .rar instead of a .zip file, changed the track names and added another file, the unpacked sizes of the files are EXACTLY the same, as is the .jpg of the cover I added. Heh.
Epic win? XD
Thanks, everyone, for your replies to my entry from this morning. The stomach ache eventually disappeared, only to be replaced by teh migraine of doom. But I battled that with a pill, so all's well now.
Also, [livejournal.com profile] mirmingi, I think you might have a point about the excitement thingy. You're not the only person who had that sort of suspicion *lol*

Anyway. Oh, look what has leaked:
Eekness.
No, I'm NOT listening to it... Okay, I did check out "Ministy of saints" because I know it already... But that's all *buries the rest in the depth of her HDD until her real copy arrives*

Okay. Two pieces of advice from Jessy-oneesan:
a) Grow up.
b) Learn to type. Geez.
By now, I'm convinced that there's something wrong with Hikaru's hard drive.
I mean, it can't be normal for the music to stutter if you're opening a web site at the same time.
Stupid Western Digital =_=
That's why I'm running an in-depth test using the WD diagnostic tool. Let's see what the thing finds out.
Right now, the thing estimates to be finished in about an hour.
Until then, I'll be at meez.com, trying to grab some more Coinz...

I finally managed to set up LoudTwitter.
Hope it works...

Don't worry, it's just a little something that gets me some mass-download reward points at Galbadia Hotel (an anime and video game media site).
It's got some pretty nice stuff, but downloading albums track by track is tedious as all hell.
So... help me out? *puppy eyes*
As you probably know by now, LiveJournal has discontinued new basic accounts; the only two options are a paid account or a plus account. [livejournal.com profile] beckyzoole has proposed this:

The one-day content strike is on for this Friday, March 21, from midnight GMT to midnight GMT.

For 24 hours, we will not post or comment to LJ. Not in our own journals, not in communities. Not publicly, privately, or under friends-lock.

This is a protest that will have long-lasting effects, showing up forever in the daily posting statistics.

This is a protest that will not harm LJ in the long run, as leaving LJ might do.

This is a protest that will demonstrate the power of community, as all users unite to support Basic users and the concept of adfree space.

This is a protest that will educate the new owners that LJ is driven by user-created content.

How Can I Help?

DO post about this in your own LJ.
DO post and comment about it in appropriate communities.
DO remember that it's based on Greenwich Mean Time, which may not be your local time.
DO turn off LoudTwitter and your RSS feeds for 24 hours.
DO feel free to friend [livejournal.com profile] beckyzoole for updates, and defriend when the strike is over.
DON'T forget to get permission from community mods before making an off-topic post or comment about the strike.
DON'T be spammy with your posts or comments about the strike.

These are the points we want to make through the strike:

# Restore basic accounts for new account creation.

# Inform users before any change to the site that affects how we use the site or demands on our resources.

# Run change proposals by the Advisory Board and take their advice into account before implementation of any change.

# Homophobia, misogyny, and racism must not be a part of the decision making processes about appropriate content of the site, including what user interests are deemed appropriate.

I don't believe this.

(Screen shot from torrent.to)

That's correct. We have a leak.
Someone acquired the DVDs of the first season (don't ask me how, maybe KSM accidentally delivered some of them despite the postponement) and posted all the dubbed episodes on BT.
How the hell are we supposed to get people to watch it on TV now?!
Fuck.

... wow, I honestly thought this week couldn't possibly get any worse. Ha ha frickin' ha.
And don't even ask about the huge thunderstorm that will apparently be hitting the city in about an hour. There's no way our satellite dish is gonna stay on the roof this time T_T

Remember when I said that, in order to not fuck up the dub's translation, Kai #2 would have to be even more of a genius than me?
Well, I can now officially state that he is exactly that.

In other words: The German dub is excellent. For more, read on.

Praise, praise, and... uh... more praise ^^ )

I wanted to download KODA Kumi's discography for [livejournal.com profile] yamasagi (Personally, her music makes me run away. Fast.), but the torrent isn't seeded.

I wanted to have a look at the promo clips for Clannad (I read a short synopsis of the story and it sounded really interesting), but the scarywater tracker is down.

It's not even Friday the 13th ;)

I get Japanese spam. Coooool =)
And Semagic's spell checker doesn't know the word. Actually, it doesn't even recognize its own name. WTH.

Seen at [livejournal.com profile] rdyfrde:

What Your Pizza Reveals

There are no limits to your eating. You often devour the scraps your friends can't finish.

You aren't particularly picky about pizza. It's so good... how could you be? You fit in best in the Western part of the US.

You like food that's traditional and well crafted. You aren't impressed with "gourmet" foods.

You are dependable, loyal, and conservative with your choices.

You are cultured and intellectual. You should consider traveling to Vienna.

The stereotype that best fits you is stoner. You're a little wacky in the head, even if you don't touch drugs.

Message from JF staff:
Oops. I realize now, that you would get your confirmation email sooner if I actually clicked "Send" on the message, huh.

*palm-to-forehead* Sorry about that!

What cute. forgetful people. I like them *lol*
Actually, I'd already found out myself. I kept checking my userpics page, and suddenly, it said "Currently uploaded: 1 out of 500". That was my payment confirmation ;)
So. I've got a Paid Account at JournalFen now. That doesn't mean I'm abandoning this place, mind you. I'll just be doing without 100+ userpics and the fancy layouts. Which is okay. Otherwise, I'll be updating, reading and responding like always. I just felt it was an appropiate reaction to Strikethrough/Boldthrough07 and everything LJ/6A did and said.

I also spoke out on [livejournal.com profile] pay_no_more (here), just because.

Y'know, sometimes, I'm amazed at how many nice people I managed to dig up on the intarwebs, seeing how there's still more than your fair share of sick assholes about.
In other words: OMG ugh.

PS: If you have no idea what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky. I still feel a bit queasy, even though I merely had a few glimpses of that stuff. Damnit.

Go here to request a JournalFen account!
I unearthed this via a five-second Google search, after finding out that free account creation is disabled at JF. Gosh, I love the intarwebs and the way people are able to stick together like this =)
Tomorrow, I'll be posting some more links concerning backing up your stuff, migrating, cross-posting and whatnot. It's just good to have those things at the ready once they become imperative.
And no, I'm not leaving (yet), just taking neccessary precautions.

Has any of you ever experienced the following?

- You dig up something awesome on the 'net
- In a fit of total idiocy, you close the site, not bookmarking it and hating yourself as soon as you notice
- After fruitless attempts to rediscover it, you start to doubt that item's very existence

Crap!!!
