Now, don't be worried or anything. it's really nothing bad.
I just hit my left index finger with the big Japanese knife while cutting onions. Bled like hell but the cut isn't too deep. I can still type using my middle finger, but it's much slower than usual. Still, I'd rather keep the thing still for 24 to 48 hours. I won't lose more than half a day, word count wise, and I'll try my damndest to catch up on Sunday and during the week.
Also, since the cut is on my left hand, I might just do some brainstorming and write down some ideas on a sheet of paper. That might be useful to get me back on track as quickly as possible and not get stuck during the infamous week two ;)
So, nothing's lost yet. I'm not letting a stupid knife cut get in the way of winning my first ever NaNoWriMo! See you tomorrow ^^

Ouch! Be careful with those knives! And yeah, typing with an injured finger is a pain, especially since at some point you'll totally get into it, forget about the cut and OW. (Although it's always been papercuts or burns for me - no matter how much I play with sharp blades, I've never cut myself, which is odd.)

If there's one thing I learned from this, it's "Never handle knives when you've just woken up from a nap" O.o
Maybe I'll try it with the middle finger, I'm getting pretty quick at it. And nobody cares for typos during NaNo anyway ;)
